Here I will place strong character builds, main target is for a character to be good, some builds are friendly for new players, some have high requirements, some builds might work worse than intended without +2 tomes purchased, If you are ambitious player and are not scared of some tome / item requirements then these builds should be - if not so good - better than your custom versions if you plan on building something very similar. At the moment it is hard for me to classify build as "good for exp" and "good for endgame quests" so i'll describe each build.

EDIT: Builds delayed due to enhancement changes, that would make my builds out to date.

This is not a page about monster builds to make an awesome character but rather trusted source of builds that work better than those from another builds on wiki or the default paths that you can take when creating a new character and not choose customize option. Especially there are many different opinions among people how to build an archer, I'll show correct way to build them using pure ranger build as example.

Ranger builds: first of all: pure ranger tempest (20 ranger levels, tempest prestige enhancement line) is a weak character and I do not recommend making one - I do not recommend pure tempest build from another tutorials on this wiki. Generally ranger tempest is not worth creating in my opinion because of being weak but some builds can be useful (not very powerful though).

28 points builds:

pure ranger 20 arcane archer elf - coming soon - my first ranger but with corrected mistakes that I did do when creating one ofr myself when I was not experienced player

32/34/36 points builds:

not sure to be posted: 18 ranger / 1 fighter / 1 rogue - my own build that i played for very long time (720 hit points unbuffed without epic destinies, human tempest III, not worst with bows, ability to disarm traps, ability to use scrolls to raise dead / tensers transformation / true seeing / greater heroism etc.) //this build will be on old enhancements

Barbarian build: Barbarian is highest melee DPS in the game, it's disadvantage is lack of self sufficiency, and its not worth going for self suf because you will lose some extra damage and dealing as much damage as possible is barbarian's main role, the more damage they deal the more useful they are while supplied by healers in parties. Barbarian is easy to play and new-player friendly class.

pure barbarian 20 human - coming soon

pure barbarian 20 half-orc - coming soon (this is better version of human build if you have half-orc purchased) - based on shade's tutorial

Wizard build: with good items they work much better than those created by new players - generally they are playable by all, but might lack usefulness and hit points on endgame. I'll show a build that is friendly for new players - a human wizard that will not suffer as much as elf/drow in hit points and will be more playable for new players.
