Template talk:Pos

It's a bad idea to use wrapper functions for such simple uses because they add template depth and increase the page size by a lot. It's not hard for someone to write lc: in front of the search string or wrap the pos function in an #iferror: function. Faltout (ContribsMessage)

  • Point taken. I'll revert, thanks. Hoopy Froodle (ContribsMessage) 11:10, August 3, 2019 (EDT)
    • Illustrated what "#iferror" does. I still believe this template can be deleted given that you can write {{#iferror: {{#pos: {{lc:fooBar}} | {{lc:bar}}}} | Too big?}} or you can write {{Pos|fooBar|bar|case=false|error=Too big?}} which takes about the same amount of characters to write but uses much less page size.
