Prohibits ghost movement[edit]

"It will bring the character back to life exactly where his soulstone lies. The confirm resurrection dialog box prevents ghost movement, so it's not possible to move out of harm's way before being raised." -- Since when? I've often used death pact and raised myself away from my stone.. The only restriction I have ever seen is that you must accept the raise within ten seconds. -- ShoeMaker (Contributions Message) 12:11, April 24, 2012 (EDT)

I didn't edit this part, as I wasn't sure. I was just about to go check on my cleric. Ahh, the joys of suicide for science! Taurolyon (ContributionsMessage) 12:32, April 24, 2012 (EDT)
Just confirmed your assertion. If memory serves, there was a bug in previous patches where the UI was inhibiting movement when a dialog (including trade, vendors, etc.) would popup. So the info there was correct, but based upon this bug.

Off to tweak, if you haven't done so now.→ Taurolyon (ContributionsMessage) 12:42, April 24, 2012 (EDT)

Confirming[edit]

Regarding: "The spell sometimes doesn't work for trap deaths." I have twice died to traps with Death Pact cast and in both cases it failed to offer me a resurrection. — previous unsignedIcon tooltip.pngPlease sign posts using ~~~~ comment by Niminae ( c |d| r| b) at 06:48, January 13, 2016 (UTC)

  • If you look at the XP sheet for the quest, it should show you that you actually died twice. This is because it auto-raised you, but you took so much damage you actually died again. At least that has been my observation in all non-lag cases of this happening. ShoeMaker (ContribsMessage) 07:55, January 13, 2016 (EST)
