Talk:Curious about numbers

I'm new to this game. At least the online version. I played AD&D about 30 years ago. I'm curious about some folks running around having numbers in parenthesis after their name. Is there some significance to that or do people just use numbers while naming their characters?

The numbers are actually next to their Guild Name. (Top line is their character name, then next line is Guild Name). The numbers represent the level of the Guild. UltraMonk 13:41, November 17, 2010 (EST)

Thanks UltraMonk. When I first noticed them I thought they were the character's level but then I read that 20 is as high as you can go and some of the numbers were in the 30's.
