QwijyMart is a PC-run vendor originating from the Khyber Server. The operation specializes in discount consumables (scrolls, potions, and wands), sold from popular locations that are often far from NPC vendors.

History[edit]

Qwijy De Bo was a "mule" on a second account, bags filled with consumables for the owner's main account. As time wore on, the owner's guild started to make use of Qwijy as well, allowing them to spend less time restocking their characters. On a joke from the guild leader, Qwijy opened his doors to the public in October 2007.

Initially, QwijyMart's prices were above NPC vendor prices. As the store grew, other bards with more impressive haggle scores began to supply the store, allowing prices to be lowered to the point that it cost most characters less platinum to shop from QwijyMart than at the NPC vendors. Over time, Qwijy's owner made a "hagglebot" of his own, allowing prices to decrease even further.

Around February 2008, a new QwijyMart vendor was opened, run by a character named Gtar.

Around March 2008, a new QwijyMart vendor was opened, run by Jonno.

Pricing[edit]

QwijyMart prices are based on the haggle score the store owners are able to attain. Profit (around 1000 platinum per stack of 100) is added to the price, then rounded to the nearest 500 platinum. As a result, the prices drop every 2–3 months, as the hagglebots accumulate progressively better haggle scores.

For example, 100 heal scrolls cost around 20,000 platinum for a character with little to no haggle. QwijyMart's price for 100 heal scrolls started out at 18,000 platinum, and as of May 2008 are 13,500 platinum.
