Steel
From DDO wiki
Common material used in the creation of Armor, Weapons, Jewelry, and Ammunition.
Steel weapons are quite durable and have a good hardness rating. In general a steel weapon will have a hardness 5 points higher then a equivalent weapon made of wood.
Example: A standard greataxe has a durability of 100, and a hardness of 10. A standard greatclub has a durability of 100, and a hardness of 5. These items hardness goes up a fixed rate of +1 per enchantment level. Thus a +1 Greataxe has 11 hardness, while a +1 greatclub has 6 hardness.
