RE:Killing boss monsters in any challenge. (~4-5%)

Does the killing boss monster drop rate apply to every challenge item in general, notice some items drop less often like Requisition forms and One minute of time, when compare to power-ups and skeleton keys, for me anyway? I probably won't go with any challenge, I don't think Ive received skeleton key from lava caves or a blast charge from Rushmore Bladedge 15:06, March 28, 2012 (EDT)

Yes. Any monster (that is, all boss monsters) that gives a supply chest, has a small chance - probably ~4-5% of dropping a challenge item at the same time. Chance is generated per party member, so one might get something, and the rest none.

It's also important to use the wording "Boss monster), and not red boss monster.. As non-red bosses do sometimes drop the chests/items. EG: Mother of the nest in rushmoor is orange. Thought not all do, EG: The various orange named in Extraplanar palace do not. Thought I consider them non-bosses, as they are much easier then the red named, or even the spider.

I've received skeletons keys from lava caves and blasts charges from rushmoor. Fairly sure every boss can drop any item, completely random. Items that are only usable in 1 type of challenge dont seem any higher or lower chance to drop in said challenge either. However I think Rushmoor has a chance to give you a skeleton crest instead of a specific crest for the crests automatically placed in ur inv - though they will never be laying on the floor.. (Which actually has another wrikle: Smashing stuff gives u those in behind the door, but only monsters kills work in other rushmoors for that).

Though I agree the chance of getting a requisition form or minute of time is far less then the chance of getting a kobold buff gem or skeleton key. Table is probably:
0-5: 1 item from the challenge item list
6-100: nothing
Challenge item table:
0-4: kobold gem 1
5-10: skeleton key
6-10: etc
95-96: requisition x
97-97: minute of time
etc.

I don't think turbine bothered to take the time to create tables for every single boss monster or per dungeon, not their style.

Thanks. I will just keep your wording of drop rate/location for all the items. Bladedge 15:42, March 28, 2012 (EDT)
