Marcus d'Cannith
Name: Marcus d'Cannith
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Bestows Quest(s): Blown to Bits
Affiliation(s): House Cannith
Location: House Cannith Enclave, up eastern stairs
Description: <Storage Supervisor>
House Cannith Enclave[edit]
If you try to talk to him while at level 16 or lower, he will reply:
- Marcus d'Cannith: Sorry, I have my hands full dealing with the crisis inside the Manufactury.
If you are at level 17 or higher, however, he will reply:
- Marcus d'Cannith: It'll be a shame to blow all that hard work to smithereens ... but it's the only way!
- Marcus d'Cannith: We have a problem, <name>. The Lord of Blades wants to use the House Cannith constructs stored inside our Armament Storage Facility against us.
- Marcus d'Cannith: We have just one chance to stop that from happening - use our supply of Infused Demolitions Charges to destroy our own constructs!
- You: Just tell me where to go and what needs to be destroyed.
- Marcus d'Cannith: The constructs are inside the Cannith Manufactury, in the Armament Storage Facility. They should be inactive and safely tucked away inside crates.
- Marcus d'Cannith: You'll find Infused Demolition Charges in there as well. Use the charges to blow up the crates containing the constructs.
- Marcus d'Cannith: The Lord of Blades probably has his followers crawling all over the place, so it will be dangerous. Can I count on you to help, <name>?
- You: A chance to blow things up? You don't have to ask me twice! (Bestow quest)
- You: What are these constructs and why do they need to be destroyed?
- Marcus d'Cannith: The House Cannith makes many things. Things like tools, works of art ... and weapons. Stored inside the Manufactury are countless constructs that can be used offensively. Things like golems - and worse!
- Marcus d'Cannith: If the Lord of Blades fanatic gets his hand on these constructs you'll see an animated army of 'em rolling through the city in just a few hours. So we've got to destroy the constructs before the Lord of Blades can activate them.
- You: How do you plan on destroying these constructs?
- Marcus d'Cannith: As I said, the Manufactury makes many things. Another thing we make are magically-infused demolition charges.
- Marcus d'Cannith: A large number of these charges are stored in the same facility as the constructs.
- Marcus d'Cannith: So it's simple arithmetic: stored constructs plus explosive demolition charges leaves the Lord of Blades minus one construct army.
- You: Tell me where I can find these demolitions charges. (See above)
- You: Just tell me where to go and what needs to be destroyed.
Talking to him after acquiring the quest, but before completion, will make he say:
- Marcus d'Cannith: Go to the Manufactury and destroy those constructs. And quickly, before the Lord of Blades uses them against us!
On completion of quest, he will congratulate you with the following:
- Marcus d'Cannith: So you destroyed the constructs? What a relief! It'll play havok with the Manufactury's profits this year, but that's better than having a pack of Warforged Titans controlled by the Lord of Blades roaming through the Stormreach.
- Marcus d'Cannith: Here's a little something for your trouble.
After completing the quest and taking the reward, if you talk to him again, he will reply:
- Marcus d'Cannith: I need someone to blow up some more constructs before the Lord of Blades gets his hand on them. Interested?
