Item talk:Epic Antique Greataxe
got a PM in regard of this item.
- I may have found something. Under my combat log (as a level 20 fighter), when I equip an Epic Antique Greataxe: (Combat): You benefit from your temporary proficiency: greataxe. (Combat): Grants you martial weapon proficiency Would this be a hidden effect? And if so, should it be included in the ddowiki article? (I don't know anyone who has an Epic Axe but is missing martial proficiency to properly test the effect)
can anyone confirm? can be handy for say, brds, if this is in fact the case. --yoko5000 09:59, August 4, 2011 (EDT)
[edit]
Madstone boots grant proficency in all weapons - temporarily (during the rage proc/clicky).. And the notification about this in the combat log is meant to be hidden.. But some bug triggers it to show whenever you swap weapons, not only causing that incorrect spam you see.. But also common gear-swap lag.
So no it doesn't grant proficency, its your madstone boots causing bugs. --Shade 14:07, August 4, 2011 (EDT)
U11 redundancy[edit]
What is the purpose of it having both Adamantine and Metalline properties? Doesn't Metalline include Adamantine? ShoeMaker 11:16, September 17, 2011 (EDT)
- Adamantine also adds +10 Hardness, so it lasts longer between repairs. Not sure why the material still says Steel though (non-epic is that way too), but the new U11 epic version is Hardness 29 vs. the old epic one's 19. Backley 13:48, September 17, 2011 (EDT)
