Template talk:Named Jewelry

From DDO wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

I don't want to be too much of a pain, but... it's spelled "jewelry" (or "jewellery," for Brits)... not "jewelery." I dunno how much of a pain it would be to change this, but I figured I'd point it out for those who would know... -LrdSlvrhnd 23:39, April 16, 2010 (EDT)

I noticed it too, nut it would be a major page in the ass to fix. Basically we'd have to edit every single page that uses the template. --Borror0 20:59, April 17, 2010 (EDT)
Yeah, that's about what I figured, but I thought I'd throw it out there when I noticed it, in case more knowledgeable minds than mine might have a simple fix *g* -LrdSlvrhnd 22:42, April 17, 2010 (EDT)
we still dont have access to mass upload/bot function? meh... --yoko5000 00:21, April 18, 2010 (EDT)
It has been almost a year since the last post on the subject. Has the typo be fixed as of yet? --Technical_13-- ShoeMaker 16:14, March 31, 2011 (EDT)
It looks like it has been, yes. It was originally "Template: Unique Jewelery," and it looks like it got moved shortly after the discussion. (Template talk:Unique Jewelery still exists, though the associated page has been deleted, presumably after the move.) -LrdSlvrhnd 20:15, March 31, 2011 (EDT)

Sorry didn't notice a warning not to edit, tried to add an image File:Mysterious bauble.png upload at img.enterwiki.net and have wrecked the whole entry. Only noticed a previous history entry with a note about not editing it. --Rumbaar

You edit the actual Mysterious Bauble page which is http://www.ddowiki.com/page/Mysterious_Bauble :-) UltraMonk 00:41, July 6, 2010 (EDT)

Linking crafting..[edit]

I had removed to automatic linking for anything that was in the crafting section because in cases like Attack on Stormreach where it is (item 1) + (item 2) + (mark 1) (+( mark 2)) it is broken trying to put in [[(item 1)]] + [[(item 2)]] + [[(mark 1)]] and shows up as [[[[(item 1)]] + [[(item 2)]] + [[(mark 1)]]]]. It is just as easy to put the linking brackets in each individual item that needs linking. ShoeMaker 21:18, April 18, 2011 (EDT)

UMD[edit]

Should this template support "UMD DC" and "reqtrait" like Template:Named Weapon? There are a small but several number of clothing/jewelry items with UMD reqs. I know those two rows kind of ugly things up on the vast number of items they aren't needed on, but maybe the rows could only be output if UMD DC/reqtrait were non-null?

While I don't disagree with you, I don't want to spend much more time on these "Named" templates. I'll be sure that UMD and reqtraits are included for these items on Template:Named Item
ShoeMaker (Contributions Message) 09:45, March 14, 2013 (EDT)
Ok, great. I wasn't aware of Template:Named Item.

This template seems to be missing a 'nocat' parameter, which is necessary to remove lamannia/historical items from the standard item categories, like Circlet of Silver Flame. MrLizard (ContribsMessage) 14:42, December 6, 2020 (EST)
