  • It's to do with how wilderness area quests work. When you enter a wilderness quest on your own, it opens a private instance. If you join a group, any private instances you aren't in auto-close. Therefore, if you summon a hireling inside a dungeon, Menechtarun resets, giving Tanankh a new chance to spawn. The reason you need hirelings is that to repeat this trick more than once, you need to not be in a group when you re-enter the wilderness, so you need to be able to close the group inside the dungeon. You can't kick a player from a group if they're active and inside the same quest as you, but you can dismiss a hireling. Hope this helps. PurpleSerpent (ContribsMessage) 06:29, October 21, 2021 (EDT)
