Type: Aberration (List)

Race: Demon (List)

Monster Manual classification: Unknown

Alignment: Chaotic Evil

Boss: Purple Named - Powerful Boss

CR:  ♦38Epic Normal ♥42Epic Hard ♠48Epic Elite

Attack:

  • Slam (Evil + Bludgeoning)
  • Ground Pound (Evil Conic AoE)
  • Wrath of Vecna (Evil DoT)
  • Eye of Vecna Curse (no direct damage, but could result in you damaging other players - see description below)

Habitat:

Description: Replaces the Ghost Flame as the final boss, should you finish the optional to free Yarrow.

The Wrath of Vecna is extremely dangerous, especially when it first appears, as until a proper hate target is established it spams Ground Pound, dealing brutal AoE damage to anyone in front of hit at about a 60 degree arc - easily hitting the whole party. If planning to engage it, bring Evil Absorption items/spells. If tanking it, try and turn it into the central pool of lava so its Ground Pound is only likely to hit you.

The Wrath of Vecna has a passive attack which periodically affects a random living player with the Eye of Vecna Curse. While afflicted by this curse, your head is replaced by a giant eye (similar to that of the Eye of Vecna) which emits a visible cone of light indicating your field of vision. This will deal heavy Evil damage to other players within the cone, so you should turn away from the rest of the party for about 15 seconds to avoid killing your teammates. (You should avoid using first person camera or the Disable Character Overlay menu option during this fight - the Curse has no symbol in your buff bar, so these will make it impossible to tell if you've been cursed.)
