Description

A targeted foe and all nearby enemies are subject to a Phantasmal Killer effect. They must succeed on a Will saving throw to prevent the death.

Notes

  • Like many Epic spell-like abilities, this spell's base Caster Level is equal to your Character Level.
    • In this case, the spell actually benefits from this bonus, as the increased Caster Level greatly improves Spell Penetration.
  • Assuming that this spell simply casts Phantasmal Killer at a higher DC in an area, targets that fail the initial Will save but succeed the secondary Fortitude save take 1d3+1 Untyped damage per caster level.
  • Phantasmal Killer is a death effect and a fear effect, and as such, Death Ward or any sort of fear immunity will provide immunity from this spell. With Deathblock, you are immune to the instant kill effect, but you can take the bane damage if you fail the will save and succeed on the fortitude save. See Phantasmal Killer's page for more details.
