  • Verona Jethro: Well, Business has been down after those couple of times Xoriat monsters showed up in the Spell Inn. So, I was ecstatic when Durk reserved the whole inn for a private party.
    I took the reservation without checking with Madam Bauerdatter first. Now the guests have started arriving... and they're not what I expected. Why does someone need so many eyes anyway?
    The Madam was clear about no more monsters being allowed in the Inn. She'll dismiss me for sure if they don't leave right away. So... could you go in and tell them to leave, pretty please?

    I see folks like the Twelve mages and the madman hire adventurers like you all the time. This is my first time. May I hire you? Am I doing it right?

        • You: You took the reservation from Durk? As in, Durk the Deranged?
          • Verona Jethro: You know Durk? And he's deranged?
            If I knew something was wrong with the guy, I wouldn't have accepted the reservation. I almost said no, 'cause he didn't look like he could pay, what with his ratty clothes and all. But he just dumped the pile of gold in front of me.
            And then he kept on asking me to guess his "secret."
