Overgrowth is the 2nd quest in The Druid's Deep story arcStory arcs  are chains of quests that make up a story line. Completing everything in a story arc often yields a nice reward..

Strange reports suggest something has gone wrong in the home of the ranger Peron Uthe. Go to Uthe Lodge by the river in Eveningstar and investigate.

• Uthe Lodge is located just beyond the eastern edge of the village, down by the river. If you just finished Outbreak, head directly east across the village.

Tips and Misc

• More Wisps and Stalkers. Bring the appropriate resists (lightning and acid).
• Lots of plant monsters and wolves. Natural Bane weapons are very useful.
  • Woads love to use Earthquake. Prepare to be knocked down often.
• You frequently move to different levels of the house, which can be disorienting. However, the path through the quest is linear.
• The Wood Woads disappear less than 30 seconds after spotting them, giving you around that much time to deal with two waves of enemies. Time limit varies with difficulty.
  • The optionals to kill the wood woads, and thus get additional XP, will only appear if you complete the "kill all enemies" optionals before the wood woad leaves.
  • Defeating any number of Woads before the encounter with Jussko Kwahn means not fighting at the end. They won't come back to life or anything, so the end fight will only have as many wood woads as you didn't kill, up to 3.
  • The third wood woad optional is behind the vines where you first encounter wolves; it's easy to miss, as the obvious path is through the door that leads to the basement.
• The secret door and chest are on the right, ground level, as you first go back downstairs.
• The Dryad boss fights like any other dryad. Once you injure her enough, she will retreat into her tree to recover. She will emerge from her tree fully healed.
  • Your actual target is the tree rather than the dryad. Killing the tree ends the quest. However, it is only possible to attack/kill the tree while the Dryad is in it.
    • If the dryad re-emerges, the tree heals also, so act quickly once the dryad enters the tree.
    • The tree is a much softer target than the dryad.
    • It is possible to insta-kill the tree using spells like Phantasmal Killer, such as from Thaarak Wraps (Heroic Elite).
    • It appears that this dryad's tree can also drop Vial of Dryad Tree Sap
