Your spelling of Collectables is incorrect, please revert back all pages you have moved. UltraMonk 06:07, April 14, 2010 (EDT)

hehe. yea, yea, welcome to the club Mardulo, Turbine is yet to decide between "collectables" and "collectibles". yoko5000 12:26, April 14, 2010 (EDT)
Ooooh, great. Sorry about that, all I know is it was wrong to the spell-checker and me. Wonder if anyone ever uses the 'a' spelling anymore... besides Turbine.

enhancements[edit]

is there really a need to separate out then enhancements from the main page? this especially so when the created pages are exactly as what you have on the main page. it is imo that we should try to make the wiki as user friendly and as little circuitous as possible--Aranticus 01:37, April 15, 2010 (EDT)

IMHO, if the Enhancements page is listed by level (which I believe to be a good idea) rather than by grouping them together, then a separate page for the entire line is nice. I know that some (such as the Elven Enhancements page) are already like this, and consistency is a good thing. -LrdSlvrhnd 13:26, April 15, 2010 (EDT)
Yeah, I'm copying the Elven enhancement pages. Instead of having to look through the entire list for all the ranks of one ability, you can click any of the names and be taken to one page that lists all the ranks and when you get them. It may be "redundant" with the info, but of course it would be. But least it makes it easy to find the info on the ranks of the ability.Mardulo
i've found a way to solve this problem. 1st in the class enhancements list, give each specific set of enhancements a header. ie add Aerenal Elven Damage Enhancement. this will create a directory for that page. then in the other pages, the link looks like this ((Elven_Enhancements#Aerenal_Elven_Damage_Enhancement|Aerenal elven damage enhancement)). with this, it will lead u directly to the elven damage enhancement section on the elven enhancement page. yes this can be tough to implement but the end result is a neater wiki--Aranticus 21:51, April 15, 2010 (EDT)
Check out the Hired_Blade template for the linking i did with this method. it links directly to the enhancements--Aranticus 22:47, April 15, 2010 (EDT)
What does that page have anything to do with the front enhancement pages besides linking to them? Have to see a better example of what you mean.--Borror0 20:51, April 17, 2010 (EDT)

I'm not quite sure what the problem is... the main Dwarven Enhancements page is neat and tidy, letting you see what you can get for at any particular level (which is quite a nice thing), and the links let you easily see the entire particular line, or even look it up directly - it's really the best of both worlds, IMHO. What's wrong with having a page for the different enhancement lines? Personally, I like how this now is far more than how it was, or how the Drow Enhancements page looks. -LrdSlvrhnd 01:23, April 16, 2010 (EDT)

the main problem is there are 2 different ways of presentation, the drow main page looks like th_drow.jpg and the dwarf main page look like th_dwarf.jpg however when you click on the enhancement links in the main page, you get the same result th_drow1.jpg for the dwarf page, it makes sense as the class enhancements are arranged in order of class level but for the drow, its exactly the same as what you have in the main page. what i'm saying is that if we are going to stick to the drow page format, we can remove the specific page since it is the same thing. the links on the hired blade format shows how you can get a link to exactly direct to a particular section within the main page. i hope this helps you understand the issue better--Aranticus 01:48, April 16, 2010 (EDT)
this is where there is an issue, which format do we keep? borror0 u decide!!!! :D--Aranticus 01:51, April 16, 2010 (EDT)
I'd say go for the by-level version... at least in the long run. I'm not entirely sure I'd know how to convert the others (which include half the Racial and all but three Class pages) myself, and I'm not gonna volunteer somebody else to do it RIGHT NOW. But to me, the by-level (of Dwarf, Elf, Human, Barbarian, Cleric, and Favored Soul) simply makes more sense than the by-line method of all the others. I mean, I know I'm generally more interested in "OK, what can I get in the next couple of levels, and how many AP should I make sure to save for it?" rather than "I wonder when I can get Dwarven Axe Attack 2?"... which would be easy enough to find with the by-level and then the links, unlike searching for all the Level 7 enhancements generally is. So eventually, I'd think switching the by-enhancement-line types over would be a good thing. (Now, if you'd said that your main problem was the two different formats EARLIER... lol) -LrdSlvrhnd 02:30, April 16, 2010 (EDT)
Yeah, I'm trying to keep it neat and tidy "by level". I had once switched the entire Dwarf to match the Drow, and frankly it was a mess to figure out what to place each line under what header.Mardulo
The logical way would be to list them by level and create a separate page for the whole line. A list by level is probably the most useful way to display them but there is a good case to be made in favor of listing the whole line. Since we probably would want a page for the line anyway, the logical choice is to list by level and let the individual; pages take care of listing the line all in one place. --Borror0 20:51, April 17, 2010 (EDT)

naw naw naw naw! you guys really wanna list them by level? and create a separate page for the whole line?! come on! thats way too much work! it would double the work we have to do with future enhancement changes. we are already having HUGE trouble keeping enhancement pages updated... and i hate to say this but we should offer something different from the DDO compendium! i added one more table to the drow page, take a look at it. that will take care of the folks who wants to know waht lvl do they get what. see Talk:Rogue_enhancements as well, one guy claimed valid point there - disadvantage of listing enhancements by level. dwarf enhancement? sure it wont be that much of a trouble, but think about monk page, if that page was sorted by level, how would you get the general idea of monk enhancements? --yoko5000 01:29, April 18, 2010 (EDT)
