reaper loot chance[edit]

So, regarding that reaper loot chance. How certain are you? Did you discuss this with Coco who gave us different information earlier? Did he agree being wrong? Have you just asked some clueless person in the office, or did you check code? If you checked the code, are you certain that the part of the code is actually executed during loot generation? Also, does it actually work? Historically, there were multiple mechanics that generated named loot. Rumors say that in older content chance of named items in chest does not depend on difficulty. Also raids often have unique mechanics. Have all these mechanics been updated to increase loot chance on reaper? --Cru121 (ContribsMessage) 09:17, June 17, 2017 (EDT)

As I have said on the forums, named loot drop chances do increase depending on skull difficulty. If you have questions for me, please direct them to the official forums. Rien (Contribs⇑ top ⇑) 18:56, June 17, 2017 (EDT)

  • I understand that this is what you believe to be true. Unfortunately, we've had a history of dev posts that were.. disappointingly out of touch with in-game implementation. For example, if your source is "Sev told me" that we can just laugh and move on. --Cru121 (ContribsMessage) 01:32, June 18, 2017 (EDT)

What a rude thing to say. Rien (Contribs⇑ top ⇑) 11:58, June 18, 2017 (EDT)

  • Sev looks like a cool guy and probably does well as a boss; he might have general idea how stuff works but after his big post about reaper XP - I simply don't think he can be trusted in details. Which is OK because that's not his job. -- Uhm, so anyway, sorry for having another unpleasant ddowiki experience, we're weird folk here. Originally this should have been an explanation/apology about why I rolled back your deletion of Coco's quote; but I guess it came out a bit offensive. Oh well. --Cru121

Please try to keep your personal opinions out of wiki editing comments. The phrase you used when reverting my edits - "noone knows the truth; certainly not devs[sic]" - is very opinionated. As has been officially stated on the forums and elsewhere, named loot drop chances increase based on reaper skull level. Why are you fighting to keep incorrect information on the wiki? Rien (Contribs⇑ top ⇑) 14:07, June 18, 2017 (EDT)

  • Players have received two official communications about this subject. One from Coco, one from you. Coco says that chance of finding a named item is not affected by skull level. You say higher skulls does increase named item drop rate chances. Both of you cannot be right; and I don't know the truth. Should I trust you more than Coco? I don't know! --Cru121
  • I've deleted the offensive edit summary, you are completely right - stuff like that does not belong to an edit summary. --Cru121
