User Name
Is there a reason you took the user-name of Keesh7663 instead of just Keesh or something else? I can change it for you if you have a preferred name in mind and for some reason it was unavailable.. ShoeMaker 03:39, March 24, 2012 (EDT)
- No, there's no real reason I chose that... I guess I'm just so accustomed to Keesh just being taken everywhere I go... No biggie... Having it be Ague (my main toon's name) would be pretty cool too...→ Keesh 23:18, March 26, 2012 (EDT)
- You are now Ague on DDOwiki..→ ShoeMaker 23:20, March 26, 2012 (EDT)
- Dang you're quick... :D
Not too sure if this is within the scope of your admin rights or not, but there is an Android app called "Wiki Encyclopedia"... It defaults to Wikipedia, but you can change it to any wiki you like. I changed it on my phone to ddowiki and it pulled the site right up. The app has the option to display the mobile version of wiki's, but this one shows up like normal... There may be a setting in the admin area to display mobile versions on mobile devices, but I dunno... Figured I'd let you know so you could give DDO'ers an easy outlet to look stuff up on their mobile devices... Hope this helps...→ Keesh 23:35, March 26, 2012 (EDT)
- In order to have a mobile version of the site, the css would have to be TOTALLY re-written. There will be new css coming out with MediaWiki 1.19 (Currently in trunk) and my conversations with Xevo (Contribs • Message • Email) indicate that we will likely be upgrading to it later this summer. At which point I will look it over and make sure if the new css styles that come with MW1.19 don't come wit mobile options, that I write the css pages so that we have it. LOL I just spent the last 3 hours writing up an html/js web page for my local computer to simplify my access to the DDOwiki api.. Oi-vey, I at least know how I can easily access it, now I just need to figure out how to dissect the xml results I get back.. I know nothing about asp, php, or the sort.. I know very little about javascript, but I am taking some classes this summer, so hopefully, by the time fall gets here we will be able to pull our toons up on the wiki.. I'll likely have to write an Extension which Xevo has already said he would install that people can use to make personal character pages and build pages. Shade (Contribs • Message • Email) will likely like that aspect. Build a toon live, and just import the stats and such directly into a build template...→ ShoeMaker (Contributions • Message) 23:43, March 26, 2012 (EDT)
- Easiest way is to have PHP (or whatever server-side code you decide to learn) parse the XML output into JSON and then spit the JSON out to Javascript... It's really not as complicated as it sounds...→ Keesh 23:53, March 26, 2012 (EDT)
Spell Project
So if you take a look at 'Recent Changes' you'll notice that I started a little (actually HUGE) project... I got tired of trying to remember where stuff was and not being able to find its location online easily... For instance, earlier today I joined a group IP on the Titan raid and by the time I ran to every scroll vendor trying to find Greater Teleport scrolls and when I finally zoned in, I took a 90% XP cut... So I am trying to prevent stuff like that from happening to others (or myself again)... It'll take me several days to hit all the vendors in the game, but this project is mine... :)→ Keesh 02:15, April 2, 2012 (EDT)
Set up your page
Yo check: DDOCrafting.info && Talk:DDOCrafting.info.
PS: I can fix the weirdness of your name on your talkposts not matching your username if u wish (common bug when renaming users).
→ Shade (Contributions • Message) 09:10, April 8, 2012 (EDT)
- Actually Shade, that is the name that he chose for it on his preferences page.. His moved user name was Keesh7663 ShoeMaker (Contributions • Message) 09:57, April 8, 2012 (EDT)
- The page looks good guys.. Thanks!!!→ Ague (Contributions • Message) 12:46, April 9, 2012 (EDT)
Price format
Actually, the glory of the template it uses is that you don't need to change any of those.. It will read full currency words (Platinum, gold, silver, copper), abbreviations (pp, gp, sp, cp), or a raw number and make it look uniform on the output page.→ ShoeMaker (Contributions • Message) 12:57, April 9, 2012 (EDT)
- Sounds good to me. All these little tweaks has been slowing down the overall progress of the project. → Ague (Contributions • Message) 12:59, April 9, 2012 (EDT)
Deleting pages
You do not yet have the abilities to delete pages or block users due to the fact that you do not as of yet meet the requirements to be promoted to system operator. In the future, however, the correct way to have pages that are created by spambots is as is defined in our deletion policy: "If you as a regular user feel a page should be deleted instantly, and probably doesn't need a vote, you can use the instant deletion process. Basically, you only need to tag the page with an {{Instantdelete}} tag, and an administrator will decide if it is safe to delete the page or if it needs a regular deletion vote."→ ShoeMaker (Contributions • Message) 21:10, April 9, 2012 (EDT)
- Honestly, at this moment in time, I'm not too concerned with being a sysop... Down the road, sure, but my personal life is about to get turned upside down for a few months and I'm not sure what kind of free time i'll be having... (Gonna be relocating to Arizona for a few months and possibly moving to Germany for a couple of years... ) But when the time comes that I'm back to my norm, I wouldn't turn down the opportunity. I just happened to see that and realized it was rather blatant spam...→ Ague (Contributions • Message) 21:59, April 9, 2012 (EDT)
Linking to non-named items via YourDDO tool..
Can you temporarily disable your tool from linking to pages that do not exist until it can be figured out.. Perhaps drop them in the generic Items or even the specific Slot for now? I'm concerned that people using the tool might think that because the page doesn't exist, they are doing a good thing creating a page for a simple crafted item that does not deserve or require it's own page. Thank you. → ShoeMaker (Contributions • Message) 00:10, April 10, 2012 (EDT)
- Yup... Already done...→ Ague (Contributions • Message) 00:33, April 10, 2012 (EDT)
Moving
Just want to give a heads up that I'm going to be getting the keys for my new apartment early next week and I'll be moving. So I probably won'[t have a lot of time to work on my projects here over the next couple of weeks. But don't worry, I'll be back once i get all moved and settled in.→ Ague (Contributions • Message) 09:48, April 12, 2012 (EDT)
Have you looked into using the <css></css> tags for your css projects? This wiki seems to now have that extension installed.→ ShoeMaker (Contributions • Message) 21:22, April 15, 2012 (EDT)
- Appears as though the css tags work... that's a handy plugin to have when dealing with a buggy skin...→ Ague (Contributions • Message) 21:43, April 15, 2012 (EDT)
- I love it! You are a CSS genius!→ Taurolyon (Contributions • Message) 23:35, April 15, 2012 (EDT)
- I don't know if i'd go that far, but I have been a web developer for almost 10 years now. I remember when CSS was just a little baby......→ Ague (Contributions • Message) 13:42, April 16, 2012 (EDT)
Weird line spacing in CssStripItemNs template..
Now that you seem to be back, can you check out the CSS in Template:CssStripItemNs and see if you can figure out why it is causing weird line spacing? Thanks→ ShoeMaker (Contributions • Message) 11:38, April 20, 2012 (EDT)
- Tech, you never cease to amaze me... OK, first off, I'm not entirely sure why you would want to strip the Item: part off of the page title. I have an idea, but not fully sure. Second, while this can be accomplished using CSS with the text-indent property, it is far from ideal. Every browser (user agent) has what's called a user agent stylesheet (UAS) and the default UAS for every browser differs slightly. So while trimming the beginning characters with CSS may look good to you on FF, maybe someone is using Opera or Chrome. (I make the WILD assumption that most users that come to this wiki know better than to use IE...) CSS is used for styling. Nothing more, nothing less. What you are trying to do is something best handled by a script. Let me see what I can do. But I make no promises on this one. If I do manage to work this one out for you, Tech, you will totally owe me a favor...→ Ague (Contributions • Message) 16:05, April 20, 2012 (EDT)
Is this thing on?
I'm finding the use of a talk page to be very awkward, is this essentially the messaging system for the wiki? And, am I doing it right?
I did upload the image Smallblade level 16 Tier 3 as you requested, and think I got the file size right (Paint is tough to get the size precise on - unless there is a trick there too, probably is).
Anyways, I would like to take a crack at making the page, and you suggested that once I got the file uploaded that you'd be willing to help me get it together. How do we talk about that, through this user talk thingy?
Also, I really hate captcha, I often can't get it. I sure hope there is a way to send messages without having to guess at hard to read letters.
Thanks,
Sirgleno (Contributions • Message) 05:03, April 30, 2012 (EDT)
- Sirgleno, unfortunately the only way around the captcha is to become a DDOWiki VIP. You basically have to make over 100 edits to become a VIP. Full details can be found here. And I encourage you to go ahead and create the page. We can talk through things that need to be altered, formatting, templates, and such on the talk page of the Smallblade. Sound like a plan?
- Ague (Contributions • Message) 19:46, April 30, 2012 (EDT)
- Image uploads count towards your edit count as well. There are also many administrators and senior editors that are more than willing to help... Just ask... As a side-note, do you have a __NOEDITSECTION__ transcluded someplace on this page, it is annoying to have to scroll through the entire this when I just want to make a comment on one section. -- ShoeMaker (Contributions • Message) 20:27, April 30, 2012 (EDT)
- Yeah, the __NOEDITSECTION__ is transcluded in YOUR Welcome template, Tech... Sheesh...

Reverting my changes on Elder's Focus
Is there any particular reason why you reverted my change that deleted Elder's Focus (a necklace) from the Category:Trinket items?
→ --Cru121 (Contributions • Message) 05:40, April 30, 2012 (EDT)
- You mean other than the obvious reason that it is a Necklace and not a Trinket? Is there any particular reason you feel it belongs in Category:Trinket items? ShoeMaker (Contributions • Message) 08:10, April 30, 2012 (EDT)
- Yeah. I deleted it from the list. Ague rolled it back :)→ --Cru121 (Contributions • Message) 09:06, April 30, 2012 (EDT)
- I think I may have interpreted your edit incorrectly. I have reverted it back to your edit, and apologize.→ Ague (Contributions • Message) 17:17, April 30, 2012 (EDT)

Hi Everybody!!
Hey guys. I miss being around editing allt he time, but I've been SUPER busy extending YourDDO. Between work, the kids, YourDDO, and running my guild, my time seems a bit thin these days. But have no fear, I will return in a blaze of glory and become a daily contributor once again. If you haven't done so, stop by and check out YourDDO and see all the great things that I've been adding to it. :D→ Ague (Contributions • Message) 09:39, September 2, 2012 (EDT)
- Hey everyone,
Just wanted to stop in and let everyone know that I'm going to be out of the loop for about a month. I'm moving from the states over to Germany, so it's going to be roughly a month or so until I am back working on YourDDO full-time.
In the meantime, if you have any issues with the site, just use the email listed on the Home page. i have that account piped directly to my phone and i check it daily. I will be working on some new stuffs while I'm away as well (gotta love XAMPP), so hopefully, I have some fresh features to deploy when I get all settled in.
See you all on the other side,
~~Ague→ Ague (Contributions • Message) 01:25, September 14, 2012 (EDT)

Was that you on our IRC this morning? I was sleeping in ( and don't watch IRC much anymore ). If so, what can I help you with? :)

PHP parser
Hey there, I was wondering if I can ask you for a favor? I've played around all day and mostly figured out how to parse the xml apiresponses from data.ddo.com, but I still am not 100% clear on how to parse the information I want from the MyDDO html pages. Do I simply use $html = file_get_html('http://my.ddo.com/<server>/character/<toon name>') followed up by foreach($html->find('div') as $element) {? Could I possibly get you to send me a snippet of your parsing php to examine and play with to see if I can make it work they way I want? If so, that would be great, if not I would still be grateful for any pointers you can give.
