Update 70 Patch 1 Hotfix Release Notes

Here are the release notes for Update 70.1.1, released on Wednesday, November 20th, 2024.

News and Notes:

• This update includes experimental physics optimizations aimed at mitigating some of the largest sources of game performance degradation seen in recent weeks. However, some conditions under which these problems occur only happen during particularly heavy server load, and that can be a challenge to diagnose. Several iterations of these changes may be necessary to fine tune the player experience.
• The Mount and Pet stable on Cormyr should no longer lose track of Mounts and Pets that are added to it. Additionally:
• Some Creature Companions and Mounts that went missing during a server issue on Cormyr in October have now been returned. Please read further for more information:

• The following Mounts have been restored to accounts without further action necessary:
  • Year of the Dragon Ground Bound Green Dragon Steed
  • Mounts earned from Patron's Coffers: Underdark Warrior's Panther, Warforged Steed, Astral Traveler's Riding Drake, Necromancer's Skeletal Steed
  • The Keep on the Borderlands Bonus Items Steed of the Borderlands
  • Mounts from the following expansions:
    • Magic of Myth Drannor: Elven Marksman Steed and Red Wizard Carpet Creature Companion Steed
    • Vecna Unleashed: Academic's Steed and Ancient Lich's Steed
    • Fables of the Feywild: Fast Unicorn (White) and Fast Black Unicorn

• The following Creature Companions have been restored to accounts without further action necessary:
  • Year of the Dragon Dragon Hatchling Creature Companion
  • Creature Companions earned from the Monster Manual: Spider, Fruit Bat, Rust Monster, Earth Elemental, Wraith, Beholder, Fire Elemental, Air Elemental, Water Elemental, Hell Hound, Blond Bear, Micrometeor Swarm and Hyena
  • Creature Companions earned from Patron's Coffers: Underdark Warrior's Panther Cub Certificate, Warforged Pseudodragon Certificate, Model Githyanki Astral Ship Certificate, Necromancer's Skeletal Kobold Certificate
  • White Plume Mountain Bonus Items' Tiny Giant Crab
  • The deprecated version of the Starter Pack Fiendish Scorpion
  • Winter Wolf Pup from the PAX East redemption
  • The Yellow Cube-let Creature Companion from a Facebook promotion
  • Creature Companions from the following expansions:
    • Magic of Myth Drannor: Armored Cooshee and Netherese Imp Creature Companion
    • Vecna Unleashed: Warforged Owl Creature Companion and Flameskull Creature Companion
    • Fables of the Feywild: Cooshee Cosmetic Creature Companion and Displacer Beast Cosmetic Creature Companion
    • Masterminds of Sharn: Bloodhound and Warforged Peacock
    • Mists of Ravenloft: Black Cat and Raven
• The following expansion item NPCs have been refreshed and players who are missing their certificates can speak to them again to get new versions of these items:
  • Sinister Secrets of Saltmarsh's Salty Smuggler's Mimic and Baby Giant Crocodile Creature Companions and Smuggler's Steed and Lizardfolk Armored Steed
  • Isle of Dread's Dread Triceratops Hatchling and Dread Raptor Chick and Dread Pirate's Swift Raptor Clawfoot and Dread Dinosaur Hunter's Clawfoot
• The following Creature Companions and Mounts are NOT yet restored:
  • Year of the Dragon Hoard of Discovery Snowy Owlbear Creature Companion and Tan-Striped Pseudodragon Creature Companion
  • Menace of the Underdark Pre-Purchase Creature Companions: Spiderling, Panther Cub, Druid Wolf Cub and their associated gear
  • Shadowfell Conspiracy Pre-Purchase Tawny Owlbear and Calico Tressym Creature Companions
  • Creature Companions and Steeds purchased from the current version of the DDO Store
  • Creature Companion Treats and Tricks purchased from the current version of the DDO Store
  • Creature Companions and Steeds awarded from Daily Dice
  • The Reaperling awarded from Reaper XP
  • Creature Companions and Mounts awarded from raids and other content inside of the game.
