Overview

You arrive at the world-renowned Korranath, a temple dedicated to the god of wealth, located in the pulsing heart of Sharn. The main temple has just closed its doors for the evening. You wonder why Kol Korran's high priest wants to meet with you after hours. This dungeon is guest-narrated by Satine Phoenix of Maze Arcana.

Tips and Misc

  • Acid resistance can be very important here. Fire and electricity also, for the second machinery room.
  • The note locations are semi-random, the slaves are split 50/50 between two rooms.
  • After entering the quest talk to the high priest and then go east to a waiting airship. Click on it to be teleported to the factory location.
  • Once inside the factory, buff up and head east through a couple of empty rooms until you run into a dead-end room with some enemies. There's a lever on the wall; pulling it opens a secret door in the previous room, leading down.
  • Descend deeper into the factory, killing factory security on each floor, until you reach the bottom. Possibility of notes appearing on the way down.
  • Eliminate vaunt staff. The main objective, "Destroy Vaunt's Factory", consists of sabotaging two rooms of machinery.
  • Warning: Optional: Just ahead, past the first pair of doors (left/right), the floor will collapse, dropping anyone standing on it into a pit with sealions. To get out of the pit, you simply pull the plain lever on the right; a platform floats down on the south side, near the levers, to lift you to a ladder out. Beware: if you pull the 'Sanitization Control' (left lever) the pit fills with acid! Stay on the monorail if you want to avoid this drop. Once the pit is open, enemies can be lured into it – and eventually perish from acid if you activated the Sanitization Control lever.
  • The first machine is behind the first door on the left (north) side of the main hallway. Turn 4 valves (some will be locked until others are turned) until "the system breaks down". Acid will start spraying out as soon as the first valve is operated. There is a possibility of a note being in this room.
  • Optional: The lever in this first room opens the gate on the other side. The room behind that gate contains half the slaves to free, and possibly one or more notes.
  • Optional: The second door to the left has no fighting, and contains a shrine, some collectables, maybe notes, and the "evidence" (note on the floor behind a desk in the northern room).
  • Optional: The passage right/south off the end of the main hallway will also collapse, leading to the Otyugh and a chest. Getting out is (potentially) easier than the previous pit – a door opens on to the lower level of the second machinery room. If you haven't triggered the meltdown, that's safe, but if you have, it's a little harder to get up and clear (see below). The room at the end contains the second half of the slaves and possibly notes.
  • After the Otyugh floor collapses, a force field will cover it up again, allowing passage over it but also preventing late-comers from joining the fight. Once the chest is opened, access can be gained via the hidden door in the east machinery room.
  • The rest of the machinery objectives are together in the same room at the end of the left (north) passage. Pull 4 levers on the central machine, then 5 additional valves and levers.
  • Some levers/valves on the wall start as locked, you have to pull in a certain order: going left to right works, except for the final two (which are adjacent, so it's not an issue). Flames and acid jets will shoot out and the floor grate will become electrified as it "overloads and melts" – just hurry immediately to the ramp and you should be fine.
  • This room also has a shrine. It would probably be best to use this before everything starts to break loose.
  • Once the machinery is sabotaged, fight your way back toward the tower. In the room at the bottom of the spiral ramp, after a short NPC monologue you must defeat the construct boss "Lil' Babet" and some Security Constructs to conclude the adventure and get the end chest.
