Acquiring the quest

Behind the Anvilfire Inn (Remember to bind) in House Deneith, lies The Pit. A man standing there will identify himself as Vargus d’Deneith, and advise you that in a pit in the ground beneath him is a massive power station full of traps, troglodytes:,fire elementals, and assorted dangerous slimes, oozes, and jellies. He will tell you that it has ceased working, and that he is looking for an intrepid team of adventurers to restart it. If you accept the mission, he will give you a restart manual delineating how to do that, and will advise that the entrance is through the manhole leading into the ground just before him.
