Ildrannath's Tower was once home to a mighty Fighter and his elite band of warrior-maidens. Ildrannath disappeared years before the city fell, but recent discoveries suggest that his tower may hold the Key to the Mythal.

Tips and Misc
- One major obstacle the elves of Cormanthor face in their task to restore the city of Myth Drannor is regaining control of the Mythal, the vast magical field that once protected the whole city. This requires the Key to the Mythal, an artifact said to be buried here. Now that the Icons of the Elves, Dwarves and Humans are in your hands, you have the keys needed to reach it.
- Inside the tower, a large stone hand helpfully points in the direction of a searchable hidden lever, which opens the path to Ildrannath's hidden tomb. Inside, you're confronted with a large door with four unlit crystals above it.
- Unlocking this door requires pulling four levers, two each in the North and South wings of the tomb.
- Inside the North wing, you must first navigate through two hallways filled with Skeletons and a room full of orbs spawning beams of electricity. After this, head South (North only leads to a pit trap) to a room with three levers. Pull the levers on the right and in the middle to open a nearby secret door.
- In the next corridor, the door to your left is locked until you pull the red lever. It contains a Dimension Door back to the large door. Head into the next room and fight a Twin Greater Guardian – a Spectre that spawns AoE Acid circles around its room. After pulling the red lever in the same room, head West and clear out the mobs in the electric orb room. Then, pull the lever in the north alcove and swim down a flooded tunnel to the West into a room in which you fight Guardstone the Gargoyle and pull the Green lever.
- If you know Dimension Door yourself it's the fastest way to get back to the large door; otherwise, go back to the room with the red crystal door and use the one there.
- Meanwhile in the South wing, either head West at the first intersection to attempt the Mastermind puzzle, or head East through a room full of fire traps to continue.
- The Mastermind puzzle uses the same rules as the one in The Reaver's Fate, except that no Air Elementals spawn. See solver in External section.
- Past the fire traps, a locked door to the West leads to a chest. To the East, past another set of monsters, is a room full of Shield Guardians.
- Both of the levers are south of this room – the East door leads to another Dimension Door that you can't access until you pull the yellow lever. In the next room, fight the Wisps and pull both levers to open the doors to the South (where a tile puzzle that unlocks the way to another Twin Greater Guardian, this one using Fire damage circles, and the Yellow lever) and East (where you fight a Mummy and pull the Purple lever.)
- Return to the large door to enter the underground catacombs. In this area, head through to the large square room and read the Ancient Plaque, then head either North or South to start placing Icons:
- The Icon of the Humans is placed in the North section. A stone door to the West of the first intersection contains a fairly easy optional fight with a Hezrou and some Nothics; the Seat of the Icon is East through some Hook Horrors and Ettercaps. The Seat is through the South door in the room with two secret doors – the East secret door is one of two routes to the Icon of the Elves. (To prevent some backtracking, you can use a door in the Ettercap room to get back to the Ancient Plaque if you did this wing first.)
- The Icon of the Dwarves is placed in the South section. To place it, you must fight Deepbeak the Underground Owlbear. A large stone door to the Icon of the Elves opens when the Icon is placed.
- Doors to the East in both sections lead to the seat of the Icon of the Elves, through a Hook Horror infested tunnel. (In both cases the route to the other Icon is blocked by a door that can't be opened from the inside, so this Icon is usually placed last.)
- With all three Icons placed, you can take the door by the Icon of the Elves to ascend into a courtyard with several Deer in. Head straight across to a room containing four large statues, a bear, and a large Elven artifact. Touching the Icon triggers a fight with all four red-named Warrior Maiden Statues – this can be a tricky one, although fortunately the statues have fairly low attack.
- Note that the door doesn't let people through once the fight starts – to get to the end chest you'll need to head back to the start of the quest and have someone pull the lever in the final room.
- As the last statue falls, you're suddenly frozen solid in time – Droic Orgul, Zulkir of Thay, and a contingent of Red Wizards have followed you into the ruins, letting you deal with all the threats in the tomb before they swoop in and steal the Key to the Mythal! (Vecna's approach to dealing with adventurers appears to have caught on.) Orgul is at least obliging enough to teleport you into the room next to the entrance to the tomb with your end chest in, but Myth Drannor is now facing an all-new threat from a very powerful foe indeed...
