Expression error: Unrecognized punctuation character ''''.[edit]
This template is giving me the above error message in my user page when I try to use the automatic edit counter. I wonder that the cause may be (according to an old forum post, please note that I am far from being an expert on templates, I am just a new editor): #ifexpr (and #expr) does not work with variables that depend on {{Special:Editcount}} as argument (as in the expressions that define the value of #var:E), due to parsing order. https://community.fandom.com/wiki/Forum:Transfering_the_value_of_a_paramter_to_another_one. ⇒ MrLizard (Contribs • Message • Email) 13:13, July 22, 2020 (EDT)
- It's a bug in the Edit Count extension that's already been reported to the wiki host who has an idea to fix it but hasn't had the time to implement it. Hopefully Xevo (Contribs • Message • Email) will get to it sooner than later, but I'd send him an email to poke at him about it.
