Do we really want a new topic / page for each wand? Wouldn't it be simpler to just make a list of spells for which a wand exists? -- Tihocan 13:51, March 3, 2006 (EST)
- Yes the only reason I see this becoming important further down the line is if wands are included at a higher caster level, potentially a greater wand or something like that. As it stands now I have never seen any wand with a higher caster level yet, but I am thinking like a PnP DnD player and expecting them later. Also it gives a means of displaying the info on the wand, such as UMD DC. Others should I just delete these wands? -- koolkat 14:57, March 3, 2006 (EST)
- Until we have a good reason to add a specific page for each wand, I would not bother to. One of the main reasons is that the spell descriptions are still not accurate, and duplicating them just adds to the updating burden. If there exists a wand at a higher caster level, this can be mentioned in a summary page, there isn't even a need to create a specific page for it. Personally, I think a simple list with the "wanded" spells is more than enough, and we can still add more details later if needed. Tihocan 15:49, March 3, 2006 (EST)

- Well, Koolkat was slick and actually 'included' the spell info from the spell pages - it's not duplicated. Update the spell, and the wand reflects that. So kudos for that. However, I agree with Tihocan that I don't think that separate pages are necessary. I would bet that if a wand came out that had a higher caster level or some other tweak, that it'll have a prefix or suffix to the name ('greater', 'major', something). I applaud you for planning for the future, but I think it's going to be a ton of extra work for a slim chance of payoff at this point. -> According to the post here there is multiple caster level wands. URL What would be the best way to deal with that? Maybe have a list of wanded spells found ingame and also include the caster level after it? And possibly include a UMD DC for each casterlevel?
