Talk:Thinking of switching to the Steam port. Can I transfer my character?
I've been playing the standalone game, but I've decided to switch over to the Steam port to find other people to play with. Will I be able to transfer the progress I've already made?

- Everything in DDO is linked to your user account. No matter where you log in from, or which platform you're doing it from, you'll be able to use the same characters and servers. Two things to note, though - the game doesn't transfer "last played on" info from servers between clients, and it'll probably play the opening cinematic at you again. ⇒ PurpleSerpent (Contribs • Message • Email) 04:02, July 14, 2021 (EDT)
