New player's observations[edit]

  • Epic

I'm a traditionalist Wizard. In here CONTROL your casting!! 752 SP runs out pretty quick. I was 8th level when I did this.

I started off with Hireling Frenzy he quickly died. I summoned, Kurik Forgewarden he did the job. But start with Frenzy so you don't have the down wait time for summing another Hireling back at the entrance.

I Tried each Summon Monster IV I have. The Fiendish Monstrous Spider was most aggressive and short lived. But I wound up using Lantern Archon.

Bring a Quiver and Heavy Crossbow. Load up the Quiver, shoot the sarcophagi, target monster, send out Hireling. If you pay attention to the target's health, shooting another sarcophagi just before he dies, can keep your Hireling going quickly down the hall.

  • Hey, Tiger. Thanks for the observations, however - and at the risk of being negative - I don't see a question, and I'm not sure what your comments are adding to this article. If you were having trouble as a Level 8 in a Level 3 quest, even soloing, you were possibly doing something wrong - but "what?" is impossible to tell without seeing your build and game play. This quest ~is~ a bit of a deathmarch, no doubt (I call it "The Quest of 10,0000 Sarcophogi"), and taking the time to range them all, one at a time, does help - but the suggestions you make could apply to pretty much any quest, and a solid Level 5 build w/ a hire/etc ~should~ be able to solo (and so keep the Bravery Bonus). The /discussion pages of the Wiki articles are not the best place for personal journal entries or general thoughts, so maybe start a page off your User page for those? Something similar to Sef's "journal", here. Just a suggestion. Haff fun stomin' da cassul! o/ C-Hound (ContribsMessage) 15:49, April 8, 2019 (EDT)
