(Apologies for posting this here but I can't find any other way of contacting the company without incurring international phone charges.)
Is this game still running? I can't even create an account on the game's website to begin downloading it; I just get an HTTP 500 error. And I can't contact the company to resolve this as all their contact methods ("email" forms; forums) require a username - which I can't get because they won't register me. Retarded. They give a US phone number but I'm in the UK; aren't they interested in custom from outside the USA? If the game is still running I'd be very grateful if someone here with an account there could contact the idiots who run their website to get this resolved. Then let me know and delete this post, obviously.
I've been playing D&D for 30 years and would like to continue supporting the hobby...

DDO is close to being in "maintenance mode" - Turbine barely puts any effort into new content, and the game is clearly not a priority for them. I would suggest taking a look at other D&D games, of which there are many.
If you're still interested, though, the game is also installable through Steam.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I installed Steam specifically in hopes of getting round this cant-register problem, but no luck. (So I've installed the game twice so far.) I found an email address for Turbine's PR department but no reply to my sarcastic overture yet. I had some suspicion this might be becease they aren't interested in non-US customers any more, but the website seems to fail instantly on me clicking "create account" without even taking the time to check my geographical location... If I can get it working I'll be back here with a less-pissed-off username!
Might end up giving the newly-revamped Baldurs Gate a try, but was hoping to try Stormreach first as an alternative to WoW.
But again I'd appreciate it greatly if somebody with a username could attempt penetrating Turbine's defences on my behalf? --FThis
