poorly formatted! -- 24.62.107.222 02:20, February 7, 2006

Fixed up the formatting. HTML breaks should normally be used sparingly, but it was the only way I cound find to align new paragraphs with the initial paragraph of a bulleted list item. Dedridd 07:50, February 7, 2006 (PST)
I saw nothing wrong with it, so yah dunno what you two were discussing. (post by Peerless - see his talk and contribs.) 08:14, February 7, 2006 (PST)
Yeah, it doesn't show up well if you just do a diff between the revisions, but it had to do with just using carriage returns to make a new paragraph in a bulleted item. The new paragraph gets aligned to the left-hand side of the page instead of lining up with the previous paragraph of the bulleted item. Is there another way to do this, or are "br" tags ok? Dedridd 08:20, February 7, 2006 (PST)
Heh, I think if you want to do long descriptions... maybe using a bullet list just isn't the best way to go. --Uky 11:56, February 7, 2006 (PST)
I actually agree - actually, however, you should be using indents to match them. I'll fix it for mow, still not best, however. (post by Peerless - see his talk and contribs.) 11:58, February 7, 2006 (PST)
I started out with indents, but noticed that they don't line up correctly in this case. However, the br tags lined up perfectly and looked correct, which is why I went with them - symantics and purity are fine, but if it impacts making things look correct, then they're worthless. I only modified the formatting, I didn't write the page, and I'm not up for a total rewrite currently. Dedridd 12:09, February 7, 2006 (PST)
Come to think of it, they should be further indented - if they are worthy of a new paragraph, then according to the english language, they are really a new point kind of. I'll try indented bullets. (post by Peerless - see his talk and contribs.) 12:26, February 7, 2006 (PST)

Pessimistic page content[edit]

What's your opinion of this page? I just read it and I find it puts all skills in a rather pessimistic spotlight. When reading the page you get the impression that almost all skills are useless. Besides that there are some errors, for example the description of the Listen skill is wrong. I'm tempted to change some stuff but I would like to hear other opinions first.--Ziu 04:27, March 8, 2006 (EST)

Agreed. Reading the page, I came away with more recommendations of what not to take than what to take - almost such that the page could be renamed to 'Skill uselessness'. Perhaps a summary at the end of each description that lists which classes should put points into it to aid in quick reviewing along with some way to rank them (ie, "very important to fighters, paladins, and barbarians, mildly useful to rogues, not useful at all to wizards and socerers"). Dedridd 08:52, March 8, 2006 (EST)
I did not read it carefully yet. But I believe it was mainly written by one single person, so it's certainly subjective. Feel free to try to make it more objective, or add your own subjective input. Tihocan 11:28, March 8, 2006 (EST)
