Are these taken straight out of the PHB? I don't see the DDO specific Damage Reduction listed anywhere on the page. Flendon 15:27, January 28, 2006 (PST)

Well, the article history shows most of the edits are by either ArgleBargle or Pihro, both of which are mostly DND contributors - I would assume that yes, this is merely pulles from the DND shields page. [:: ℑilver§ℑide ::] 15:48, January 28, 2006 (PST)
Yeah this is a straight list from PnP DnD. I figured it would be easier to just add the ddo specific stuff later. I did the same thing with all of the armors and weapons. I probably should go through and remove the small damage from the weapons also as that isnt in ddo at all either. Do you have info on the damage reducion? if so I could easily put that into the table. -- koolkat 09:09, January 29, 2006 (PST)
Marked as disputed because of this. Correct me if I am wrong. (post by Peerless - see his talk and contribs.) 18:38, February 15, 2006 (PST)
All values have been updated and verified directly from the game, so this is no longer a disputed point (forgot to update this discussion when I did it, sorry). Removing the disputed category, but leaving in open discussion because of the buckler thread below. Dedridd 05:56, February 16, 2006 (PST)

Names

Ok, before I start creating and filling out pages out based on the DDO screenshots I have, do we want to use 'Bucker, Wooden' and 'Shield, light steel' or should these all be changed to exactly the way they're shown in-game (ie, 'Wooden Buckler' and 'Light steel shield'). I'm thinking it should be the latter, as I imagine if people are doing a search they're going to type it as it appears in the game, but that's just my vote. I wanted to ask before changing things around. Dedridd 08:11, February 13, 2006 (PST)

personally I would change them to exactly what is ingame. This list is crossposted by me from PnP DnD, because it is essentially the same except for small differences (namely the names) -- koolkat 08:22, Feb 13 2k6 (not logged in)

Ok, since there's 3 of us agreeing on it, I went ahead and renamed them. Thanks for the replies! Dedridd 09:48, February 13, 2006 (PST)

:::See Policy/Naming - I don't know if that has this but it should, add it if it dosen't - the general rule of thumb is to name it as it would appear in a PROPER ENGLISH SENTENCE. Unless that is directly contradicted by the policy/naming page, then you should always follow that. For instance, "I slammed him in the chest with my light steel shield" - therefore, the name would be Light steel shield - NOT Light Steel Shield, nor Shield, Light Steel nor Shield, light steel nor Light shield (steel) nor any other permutation - make sense? 18:37, February 15, 2006 (PST)
