Talk:Sand Mephit
Page Name Discussion[edit]
This page is about a creature known as a "sand mephit", which is not a "named" creature, and therefor is not a proper noun. According to our current naming policy, all page titles that are not proper nouns should be lower case. I'm moving this back to Sand mephit to comply with the current policy, but would be happy to discuss it further. ShoeMaker (Contributions • Message) 09:23, April 27, 2012 (EDT)
I went with the DDO wiki:Naming policy#NPC/Monster/other game content related articles section from the current naming policy that says 'For names use the exact in-game name of the monster or NPC as it appears in the focus orb. Omit any titles it may have' and with what their name is in-game, see pic below.
Now I don't mind to go with Sand mephit, it would get rid of a ton of uppercase letters used in the middle of a phrase. 'Not much is known about sand mephits but we know they come from the elemental planes' flows much better than 'Not much is known about Sand Mephits but we know they come from the elemental planes'. But if you want to go with that you have a lot of work to do, see Monsters by type and race and you have to change the naming policy.
