Bug[edit]

There seems to be a nasty bug with the Saga credits, you need to be alive when the quest ends to get credit. Neouni (ContributionsMessage) 10:39, October 13, 2013 (EDT)

U20 RN;

You should now receive credit towards a Saga for completing a Quest if you were dead when the quest completed.

Cleanup, separate articles and template?[edit]

as it appeared on Players Council application, looks like they wanna add Saga tab on the in-game Adventure Compendium. and i have a feeling they are gonna do it no matter how Saga system remains unpopular. anyway, with that in mind, im going to set up individual pages for individual sagas. any idea for page template and auto-category-ing?--yoko5000 (ContributionsMessage) 05:05, January 23, 2014 (EST)

My apologies for posting this here; I'm very new to wikis and don't want to accidentally break the actual page. (clearly I don't even know how to create a new "section" - though this seemed fitting anyway, since the quests table is getting almost unusably cumbersome). I have information on the Sharn and Cogs sagas to be included in the actual page.

Masterminds of Sharn (heroic) saga / reward giver is Darius Benford. Includes 10 quests: "Lost at Sea", "A Sharn Welcome", "Red Rain", "Best Laid Plans", "The Same Old Song", "Just Business", "No Refunds", "House of Pain", "Blown Deadline", and "Reach for the Sky". That is the order in which the saga giver lists them before any are completed..

Masterminds of Sharn (epic) saga / reward giver is Cyrene Gorham. Exact same quest list and ordering, just the epic versions.

Cogs Explorer Dungeon (heroic) saga / reward giver is Bellman Rulth. Includes 8 quests: "Ruinous Schemes", "Roll Call", "Scavenger Hunt", "Thralls of the Fungus Lord", "Security Detail", "The Magma Must Flow", "Smash and Burn", and "The Wraithcallers". Same as above wrt ordering.

Cogs Explorer Dungeon (legendary) [sic] saga /reward giver is Alle Latham. Same quests as above, etc. So basically everything Sharn favor except the raids and the Soul Splitter questline, plus the "Lost at Sea" Free Agents quest. I realize this is all 'unverified'; I have screenshots of each if they'd be useful. I will also see about revisiting this and adding the info myself after I have familiarized myself with all the requisite templating. Magrok (ContribsMessage) 15:41, August 5, 2020 (EDT)

Rewards[edit]

All rewards data are mined now. IT confirms that the skill tome and guild renown options are static (Always 1 tome per difficulty, always 5/7.5/10/15k renown). This might simplifies the table, since we only need to list the variable XP reward, and the skill tome magnitude can be listed on the saga name/page. XP Pots[edit]

According to this page, "Effects that increase experience or renown gain (for example experience elixirs or guild renown elixirs) also apply to saga end rewards." According to the linked forum page, "XP is not boosted by XP Pots, VOM etc. Guild Renown is boosted by Guild Renown pots." Which is correct? (The question is academic, of course, since naturally, everyone would choose the guild favor option.) Hoopy Froodle (ContribsMessage) 11:01, September 18, 2016 (EDT)

  • The last time I tested this, all experience boots except Bonus Days quest XP boosts increase the amount of XP from saga turn-ins. — Zav(T·C) 13:29, September 18, 2016 (EDT)

Sagas by Quest Name[edit]

The table for "Sagas by Quest Name" is getting rather wide horizontally, and now overflowing. Maybe it should be split into: Heroic and Epic. Albeit then potentially there'd be a lot more vertical scrolling if you were split the table like that.

Perhaps a horizontally Scrolling table would work. However, I'm not sure if this Wiki supports that. If it doesn't then maybe something on the lines of: table { display : block; overflow-x : auto; white-space : nowrap; }. That's just a super crude example, as you could absolute position the first Table column and set its width so the left column stayed in place, etc. It's probably not worth the effort for a single table.

I was just highlighting that table is now rather wide (and also getting much longer vertically).

  • Seems a good idea. I think making the tables collapsible would also be a good thing. I'll see what I can do in an hour or so. PurpleSerpent (ContribsMessage) 08:29, September 5, 2023 (EDT)
  • I would split them into 3 parts heroic, epic, legendary. That would be my plan once I had finish up my back log. ( Bladedge (ContribsMessage) 13:49, September 5, 2023 (EDT))
  • Agh. The Heroic/Epic split was painful enough. Makes sense, though, since I doubt any new Epic Sagas are due for a while, so I'll get on with it now. PurpleSerpent (ContribsMessage) 14:32, September 5, 2023 (EDT)
  • There we are. The Legendary table is looking a bit small at the moment, but it'll fill out as new sagas arrive with future expansions. PurpleSerpent (ContribsMessage) 14:53, September 5, 2023 (EDT)
  • Shouldn't Ravenloft, Sharn, Feywild sagas all be listed as Legendary? Also the "Sagas by End Reward" table should be similarly split, IMO. Sarkastik (ContribsMessage) 14:48, December 15, 2023 (EST)

Quests by level[edit]

Would anyone object to re-ordering the quests in this table so that they are (by default) in level order? Sarkastik (ContribsMessage) 15:20, December 20, 2023 (EST)

  • This would be very awkward when it comes to adding new sagas to the heroic table, as we'd need to completely rework the alternating colour bars. Considering the quests can already be sorted into level order with a single click, it's pretty unnecessary anyway. PurpleSerpent (ContribsMessage) 16:25, December 20, 2023 (EST)
