Talk:Reptilian type

From DDO wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

The paragraph "Reptilian Type" is a bit confusing. It says : "The reptilian subtype is only used to describe a set of Humanoid races, not all animals and monsters that are truly reptiles."... Should we conclude out of this and by logic, that the reptilian type is a subset of humanoids (meaning I could hit a kobold with a humanoid bane), or is it misleading? It looks like the text is missing and we're only reading bottom notes..--HawkFest (Contributions

That *should* be accurate, yes. Go hit a kobold or trog with humanoid bane and see what happens *g*

"Go try it and see what happens *g*"... I essentially see that it's not an answer, thank you for you invaluable time. Maybe the tone of my msg didn't please you, but I haven't attacked you nor anybody personally (are you the author? In which case I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you, I simply made a comment about the text, not yourself). The reasons I was asking are: 1- Because I'd like to know before looking up for a reptilian bane or troglodyte bane; 2- because It's not clear that when it's written "AS" humanoids, either it essentially concerns the different race traits "as" a comparison, either it's a sub-type and as such could be hit by humanoid bane; 3- because this is a wiki site for references and documentation. I know I should ask questions on the forum instead, but still, I left a comment here for the sake of the documentation (If someone could clarify... Myself I can't, I'm a noob and I'm not knowledgeable yet as you have noticed). --HawkFest (ContributionsMessage) 21:40, July 19, 2014 (EDT)
