Talk:Lay On Hands

From DDO wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Removed the text "This only partially heals warforged characters (50%)." I have used this feat a number of times during the headstart event, and it certainly did not suffer nearly as much of a penalty. As I recall, it healed 100% on the warforged. I would like to confirm again ingame before I add that to the description. Ardan 14:24, March 1, 2006 (EST)

Thanks for checking that out! (post by Peerless - see his talk and contribs.) 14:42, March 1, 2006 (EST)
I have confirmed that Lay on Hands does in fact heal for 100% of its total on Warfoged characters :Ardan 00:31, March 2, 2006 (EST)

Removed the previous calculation for the amount healed by Lay on Hands, which was:

20 + Paladin Level * Charisma Bonus

I am a level 5 Paladin with a Charisma bonus of +4, and my Lay on Hands heals for 60. Having a cleric buff my Charisma gave me a +5 bonus, at which time my Lay on Hands healed for 75. This explains the replacement formula that I put in the page: 20 + 2( paladin_level * Charisma Bonus ). If anybody has a paladin that is not level 5, and has an amount that does not match this formula, please remove it and place in this discussion page your results, and we can try to determine the actual formula from there. :Ardan 00:31, March 2, 2006 (EST)

I suggest putting these numbers on the DDO numbers project page. Also, your formula does not seem to hold: 20 + 2 * (5 * 5) = 70, not 75. -- Tihocan 10:49, March 2, 2006 (EST)
Huh, you're right. I don't know if I wrote down the wrong amount that I healed for, or I simply messed up the formula. I guess it will be a matter of collecting more amounts of healing, over different levels and bonuses, to be sure. Apologies. :Ardan 10:55, March 2, 2006 (EST)
I am a level 3 paladin with +3 charisma, and my LoH heals for 39. When I was level 2 it healed for 36. It seems clear to me that the formula is (10 + level) * charisma.
Yes it has been verified now, thanks! Tihocan 14:07, March 17, 2006 (EST)

Talk about outdated. Removed the bit about Paladin Devotion enhancements, no effect on LoH. --Asakura 03:43, August 18, 2010 (EDT)
