Talk:Lamannia server problem
I've been having a problem with the lamannia client for 3 days now. whenever i open the launcher, it says "value cannot be null. Parameter name: stream". i think i saw a fix for that in the forums, but since they're down... luckily this isn't happening with live launcher, but it's kind of annoying not to be able to get in the server where i test my builds... - They take down lamannia after every update and wipe chars, its not surprising. The devs also switch it over to an internal-only server for initial testing of new content/fixes for problems before they make patch X releases... Just a correction: They don't wipe characters every update, nor take the server always. They sort of just do it randomly when they are in the mood. Generally every MAJOR update (lately odd updates, but seems U12 is going to be fairly big too) will do a wipe, mainly for the puposes of letting us do a new character copy. In this case the server was up for a good week after the latest patch.
But yea, it's down now.
When will it be back up? Rumor is U12 is mostly done content wise, just working on fixes.. and scheduled for late nov/early dec. I'd guess "Soon" for the lam release. → Shade 12:41, October 15, 2011 (EDT)
That's something... But now i'm also having problems with the live server launcher, so i can't log to DDO at all. Every time i start the launcher it stays in "getting data centers" for 2-3 mins and then says "The underlying connection was closed: Unable to connect to the remote server"
