OK, to actually start a relevant conversation here, lets see if we can make this home page usable. To put it bluntly, it's ugly now. What should/can be done? (post by Peerless - see his talk and contribs.)

Help please. This is one of the most important pages of the site, and right now below the first top thing (which is rather attractive in my opinion) it's buttugly. (post by Peerless - see his talk and contribs.)
I've never been a fan of pastels, cause they look kinda fru-fru. But I have a feeling you're also referring to the content layout. Ummm....nothing strikes me as obvious at this point, but I'll keep thinking about it. Dedridd 10:23, March 25, 2006 (EST)
Colors too - change them to something more attractive, my Art Director's Toolkit is broken! (post by Peerless - see his talk and contribs.)
I must admit I'm not good at making things look good... Tihocan 14:17, March 27, 2006 (EST)

Page title

The title of the Home page is Home - Modify this page, even if we're not on the edit form. Tihocan 17:14, March 27, 2006 (EST)

I've noticed that, too. It's the same with all non-discussion (or non-talk) pages. It started last week. Perhaps it's a subtle way to encourage people to contribute? ;) Dedridd 17:27, March 27, 2006 (EST)
Actually it's an error and I have no idea why the hell it has appeared - but your right, I think I'll leave it (-: changing MediaWiki:Edit though. (post by Peerless - see his talk and contribs.)

1000 pages!

Dangit, long time no have people talking! Lets get this community working again (-: Anyway, we just hit 1000 pages - I'm stoked! That's... a lot of pages! I think we should celebrate with the newest in a series of major changes to the layout - I got rid of the scrollie sidebar thingies - they were cool, but it was an extra click and I got some complaints in IRC. I removed the ads at top and moved them to the side, should make them a tad more annoying so we gain more clicks, at the same time as making it break the layout less. Finally, I put a network navigation bar at the bottom of the contentBox, that should help a bit to share visitors among the wikis and get some more 'net' into the 'network' (-: Elliott Cable - ?+¿ - ‹·› 12:52, April 25, 2006 (EDT)

Woohooo! Now let's aim for 10000 :P A note about the new menus: we have lost the direct links to classes, races, spells, feats, lists, enhancements, etc. that we used to have. I think we should get them back, as the new visitors are going to be lost otherwise. Tihocan 13:29, April 25, 2006 (EDT)
Yes, that is very broke. It's inexplicably reverted to the static MediaWiki one; don't know why. Anyway, I'm working on a new main page, see Home_Dev_2. Help me with it! I'll fix the sidebar; also check MediaWiki:Sidebar to make sure that page itself hasn't reverted, and that it really is Memcached messing up. If you can use IRC, tihocan (I can't remember) we have a channel at irc://irc.freenode.net/ - channel #enterwiki - we can discuss the new home page (-:
I see you fixed it, thanks! :] I know I should come over IRC, any multi-server Linux client you can recommend? Tihocan 11:11, April 26, 2006 (EDT)
I like to fix things fast (-: - no idea about the client, ask Xevo, he uses linux and should know... Elliott Cable - ?+¿ - ‹·› 11:54, April 26, 2006 (EDT)

3yrs since launch, we finally have website logo, lol, slackers! thinking about blk, blue, white dragon version too but who knows
Media:DDOwikiLogo v2 small.jpg (200*75)

Bigger versions are available:

LOL, talk about coincidences. I ask Tolero to see if this logo was fine with Turbine and otherwise I thought of making something myself:

I have yet to add colors but it's a work in progress. Oh, and suggestions for more badass icons are welcomed, hehe

I will remove the icon until I get the ok from her. I would really want to avoid trouble. Borror0 06:26, March 31, 2009 (EDT)

cool, i thought i had read somewhere, that non-commercial use of game-related images are fine as long as they are not malicious to turbine but clarification is always better to have.

yoko5000 06:57, March 31, 2009 (EDT)

That's what I was thinking as well. I doubt they will object but I figured it would not hurt asking. Borror0 07:13, March 31, 2009 (EDT)

Treasures Of Crystal Cove

Is due to be back tommorow 09/28/11 after morning hotfix per Cordovan here http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=344076 Also stated is that due to other things in the month of October<Mabar>?, that the event end date is not expected to be extended. I put this here since I can't edit the front page. :)

Artificer bugs

Before the recent update there two very serious bugs relating to artificers.

Were any of these fixed in Update 11 Patch 1? (Guessing no, since there's no mention in the release notes.) If not, there should be a big red flashing notice about it somewhere visible.
