Talk:Different World, New Character?

So, I made an account and then a character for the first time today. I used server/world Ghallanda to log into. Later, a friend of mine suggested that we meet up in game, as he had been playing a day longer. I tied to log onto Orien, but my character wasn't there. Are we restricted to one world with one character, and have to make a new one whenever we want to change worlds? I'm just confused. If there's something I'm missing, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

Yep, each character is only good for the world/server on which you make it. You can, however, create the same character on another world, and even give it the same name if it's not already taken... but you can't interact with each other (through mail or account bank, etc).

What about logging on another computer? I've been playing on the laptop for a while and then tried to play on the desktop and my character doesn't show up?? - 24.74.132.162 10:58, December 24, 2010

As long as you log in to DDO with the same username you should get the same characters. Make sure you're using the same login and server... -LrdSlvrhnd 13:05, December 24, 2010 (EST)
