Talk:Classes
Class Skills[edit]
It would be nice if ALL classes have their class skills listed, as just a few of them have now.
- Yes it would Tihocan 16:42, March 6, 2006 (EST)
Starting a...[edit]
The links to the "Starting a..." pages are now almost all gone, or at least they are not as obvious as they used to be. They should be made more easily accessible. Tihocan 16:42, March 6, 2006 (EST)
Images[edit]
Is there either a way to include/link to an image on a page so it shows up but is not a link, or to specify an alternate link for one? It seems silly to have to put a warning on a page to tell people not to click on an image, but I can see where it's confusing for new site users when they expect to go to the class page when they click the image. - Seems to be a way according to http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Navigational_images, but I couldn't get the "external link" icon to not appear. Ben
Ability Requirements[edit]
Why is/are the main Ability/ies of each Class missing from each entry?!!
I've done enough editing for the day, can someone else add them?

Revision to concise[edit]
The central page for classes seemed to be full of information that would be easily found elsewhere. The page should introduce classes and common abilities and needs for each for differentation. I found the page full of grammar and spelling errors and many other redundant or unnecessary information that wouldn't be helpful for the article's target: the new player.
I concised heavily and reorganized the article for that reason. I also added the new Artificer class (surprisingly missing given all the wiki's usual speed in updating). Please readjust if you see a key part that's missing in summarizing what classes are, with less emphasis on what each class does (that's for their parent articles). --Spencerian 15:04, September 21, 2011 (EDT)
Rename to Class[edit]
The standard naming convention is to use the singular. It just feels weird to rename a page that's been so central for so long. ⇒ Hoopy Froodle (Contribs • Message • Email) 17:40, July 22, 2019 (EDT)
- First let me say that "standard" does not mean "universal" or "blindly applied". With some terms, the singular conveys something diff than the plural (at least to some readers, or in some contexts). "Classes" works here, but so does "Class" (given the content of the article) - and maybe better. However, changing the page is easy - it's all the "What links here?" that also need to be changed that's the slog. But I'm in favor of it.⇒ C-Hound (Contribs • Message • Email) 18:50, July 22, 2019 (EDT)
- Heh, I reverted the suggestion before seeing your comment. It seems like too much bother, particularly since most of the other toolbar items have the same issue. Better to focus on changes that add value. ;) ⇒ Hoopy Froodle (Contribs • Message • Email) 12:24, July 23, 2019 (EDT)
