Talk:Challenges/Temporary buffs

I am looking at your gallery, and I was wondering if it might be possible for you to get more uniform screenshots. Try and get them similar in size would be awesome. Wouldn't have to be perfect, just within a few pixels, then they could be stretched or shrunk the couple pixels to be uniform and used in a table perhaps?

Done! All images are 200x200 now. Nibelung (ContributionsMessage) 19:38, December 26, 2012 (EST)

are these same thing as what are called Power Ups? when the first time Challenges are implemented they promoted that thing quite heavily on official documentation (their challenge guides and upcoming release info and such). nobody seemed to care and neither i did, but i remember something to do with challenge pay to win mechanic in this regard. if this is the case, this page need to be expanded with related TP price info and possibly renamed to Challenges/Power Ups etc.

No, these are free temporary buffs that come from some breakables and supply crates in some of the challenges. There are also power-ups in some of the challenges that you can trade crystals / time for iirc that work on the kobolds and are one of the star requirements to get a certain amount of them. I'll research the DDO store p2w aspect, although I don't remember them it doesn't mean they don't exist.

hmm... so what exactly is called "Powerup" is hard to define then, okay. and actually i found these are posted on this wiki,

now what i dont get is these One Minute of Time and Kobold thingies, they seem to be thrown in into players inventory randomly while doing challenges. how do that happen? i always find them annoying, like "oh i have One Minute of Time? can be helpful" → double click → "IT CANNOT BE USED ON THIS CHALLEGE SORRY" → "wtf!?" → delete the item in anger.

is there any tips to get and use them effectively (like "run this and get these then move on to that one to make use of items acquired")? i know this whole thing seems be just a failed mechanic and they discontinued it in Eveningstar challenges, but still, if theres any kind of tip as i stated above, it should be added to Cannith Challenge page.
