Talk:Arcane Blast

I did some limited testing of arcane blast with my friend and I. He was at lvl 28 with 353 force spell power, seeing on average about 240 dmg per cast. I tested it at lvl 14, with 110 force spell power, seeing around 75 dmg a cast. We are thinking that Arcane Blast is around max caster lvl 10, 1d3+3 per level like most spells are. Seems to sound right to us. In any case, there is absolutely a max caster lvl on this despite what the wording suggests. Since it has a caster lvl cap and it can't be meta'd, this ability is SEVERELY lacking compared to other SLAs like sorc savants. --98.94.48.198 12:43, February 7, 2015 (EST)

Yes, those SLAs suck.--Cru121 (ContributionsMessage) 13:56, February 7, 2015 (EST)
Remember that just being level 28 do not add any caster level to your spells. A level 20 wizard and a level 28 wizard, if not into an arcane epic destiny, both will have a caster level of 20. Anyway, your data appear to be correct that the SLA is capped under level 20. Nibelung (ContributionsMessage) 17:36, February 7, 2015 (EST)

Spell Resistance[edit]

When I first encountered "fiendish" enemies with Spell Resistance, Arcane Blast and Arcane Bolt started constantly failing on these guys with "Saves". Do it means that actually these spells are "Spell Resistance: Yes"? Can anyone verify this? --95.27.252.92 (Message • Block • Check) 11:41, February 25, 2016 (EST)
