Sustaining Song

  • Level: Bard 4
  • Cost: 2 Action Points
  • Requires: 20 APs spent in Spellsinger enhancements
  • Target: Single
  • Base Duration: The duration of your Bardic Inspiration (5 minutes + 30 seconds per Caster Level)
  • Song Description: Inspiration Melody: When you use your Bardic Inspiration, you apply a temporary fast-healing effect to your target for the duration of your song. (Heals for 2d3 every 2 sec. Doesn't crit. Affected by your positive/negative/repair spell power. Spell power is *not* locked in when you sing, but is rechecked for every tick.)
Passive: You sing your Bardic Inspiration as if you had 1 more level of Bard.
  • Notes:

The passive healing is enough to keep the party topped off most of the time, but direct healing is still required in heavy combat.
Additionally, when you use Bardic Inspiration with this ability, your target is healed as though you cast Cure Light Wounds on them. This effect can crit and scales with spell power.
This effect can heal undead and constructs by taking the 2nd and 3rd core abilities in the Spellsinger tree. When used this way, the initial cast will apply both Cure Light Wounds AND Inflict Light Wounds or Repair Light Damage.
