Sterling's Remnant Rush
Sterling's Remnant Rush is an event introduced in Update 78 as part of DDO's 20th Anniversary celebration. It lasts for one full year, from February 25th 2026 to March 2nd, 2027.
Mechanic[edit]
The mimic Sterling the Strongbox has been brought to the Anniversary celebration by Fred to help gather up all the Mysterious Remnants that are still loose in the universes. Up to 10 times per month while the event is active, you can trade in mysterious remnants for a prize. Each time per month that you do the trade, the price will increase in accordance with the chart below. This count is per account , not per character. At the the first Wednesday of every month when the worlds reopen from weekly maintenance, the cost resets back to 100. The first reset will take place in April 1st 2026, and the final day of the event, March 2nd, 2027 is Tuesday.
| Trade Number | Remnant Cost | Cumulative Monthly Cost per Tier | Cumulative Cost per Tier for all 12 months |

Advice: Aim for consistency rather than spending everything at once on this mechanic.
- To maximize the chance to pull valuable rewards, it's in your best interest to tally up your absolute total Remnants you have, and then compare that to your best estimate of Remnant income per month. Your goal is to hit as high of a tier as you can sustainably meet, without running dry on Remnants or forcing yourself to take a lower tier.
- Even if you can hit tier 8 one month, if you are unable to reliably hit tier 7 the next month, your total pulls goes down. Try not to overestimate yourself, and take it slow and steady. Tier 10 is not supposed to be doable for the average player.
- Leaning slightly heavier on early months, because you want to make use of reward items, is okay. Just be aware that it's all too easy to go dry on valuables, and only get items do you do not want or need.
- Remember, Remnants have other important uses such as purchasing Augments (various NPCs), Tomes of PRR/MRR, Tomes of Melee/Ranged/Spell Power (Thread of Fate) and so on.
Rewards[edit]
The reward tiers are as follows:
Minor Rewards (50% chance)
- Suites of Curse Cards (8 cards of a single type)
- Full Decks of Curse Cards (16 cards of a single type)
- Remember that it costs 12 of each of the four types of Cards to make a full Deck!
Major Rewards (50% chance):
- One of the following Fragmented Ability Tomes: A selector box with the option of a straight +1 ability tome or every possible upgrade tome up to +7 -> +8 for the indicated Ability.
- One of the following Dusts of Mythic Power: A consumable item that can be used to add a Mythic bonus to any Cloak, Gloves or Boots, depending on the type obtained. (Note: These consumable items will disappear from players' inventories on April 1, 2027; bonuses already added to items will not be affected.)
- One of the following Dusts of Reaper Power: A consumable item that can be used to add a Reaper bonus to any named Cloak, Gloves or Boots, depending on the type obtained. (Note: These consumable items will disappear from players' inventories on April 1, 2027; bonuses already added to items will not be affected.)
- Fragmented Treasure of Myth Drannor
- Provides a pick of any rare item from Myth Drannor, including the vaunted Artifact Rings.
- Deck of Many Curses (Pr-assembled full deck, ready to use)
- Card of Curse Cleansing
