What to Expect
- Several dangerous wide AoE attacks - do not lose focus during a fight, especially if playing a caster
- Spell point draining mechanics in the Mudman fight
Tips and Misc

- During your storming of Schloss Ludendorf, you could do little but watch as a Relentless Juggernaut, a supernatural serial killer, burst loose from its restraints in one of Dr Mordenheim's laboratories and escaped into the Lamordian wilderness. Mordenheim's notes in the laboratory mentioned a criminal executed by Ludendorf law enforcement after some sort of tragedy at Ludendorf's wax museum - so when Arno Kauss asks you to investigate a mass murder at the wax museum with multiple members of the city's police force among the victims, it's not difficult to piece together what's happened. What's more of a mystery is why the Relentless has also set its sights on members of the Deadmonger gang.
- As you and your party gather in the front hall of the museum, the wax figures surrounding you do about the only thing a set of wax figures could possibly do in a horror setting - come to life and try to kill you! It appears the presence of the Relentless Juggernaut is causing the fixtures of the museum to animate and assist it in its massacre. Once the wave of wax figures is dispatched, Arno directs you to head North into an open courtyard, where The Relentless Killer awaits you.
- There are three doors opening out of the courtyard - but in order to lower the magical barriers so that you can enter them, you'll first need to beat the Relentless Killer into submission. As raid bosses go the Killer is reasonably simplistic - his Scythe deals stacking Poison damage that can build up pretty quickly, and care needs to be taken with his spin attacks which can hit multiple times in a single second, but one decent tank and healer is all that's really required. The remainder of the party should switch between attacking the Juggernaut and slaying the respawning Animated Object trash in the courtyard - this gets more offensively dangerous as time passes, so take care not to let it hang around for too long. However, any character with an attack or spell that deals Light damage should be focused on the Juggernaut full time, as taking any amount of Light damage will suppress its heavy DR and Elemental Absorption and cause it to take full damage from all attacks for a couple of seconds each time.
- During this fight, players dealing ranged damage to the Juggernaut may periodically be targeted with an attack that paralyzes them, forms an AoE circle around them, and starts a five second countdown. At the end of this countdown everyone in the circle will be teleported to the room to the East of the courtyard, which they won't be able to leave until they kill a red-named Helmed Horror. Keep an eye on people around you to avoid getting dragged into this room unexpectedly. If you're using a ranged or spell DPS build in this fight, make sure not to stand near to the tank or the healer. (This effect can be removed fairly easily from another player with Break Enchantment.)
- Whirling Blades will slowly spawn throughout all three fights with the Juggernaut - these will fixate on and chase nearby players, and don't seem to disappear, so keep a close eye on them.
- Once you've brought the Juggernaut down to 75% health, the creature suddenly freezes in place, becoming immune to attack damage. This opens the door North to a production room where, after clearing out the museum's stock of wax figures, you must fight the purple-named Mudman Wrathful Wax.
- Wrathful Wax periodically applies effects to targets covering them in Soothing Mud or Hot Wax. After a three-second countdown, people covered in Hot Wax explode, dealing Fire damage to nearby targets. Soothing Mud isn't directly harmful, but reduces the attack speed of people hit by the AoE. If you get hit by both effects at once, you lose a high number of spell points - casters will need to carefully move around to avoid getting caught into an AoE effect that will render them useless for the remainder of the fight.
- With the museum's wax stocks defeated, you find a Shining Locket belonging to Johanna, the wife of the museum's proprietor Valthus Moloch. You're suspicious at this point, given the rather conspicuous absence of the aforementioned Molochs, that the Relentless Juggernaut might once have been Valthus - a hypothesis you confirm by showing the Juggernaut the locket. Arguably this works too well, as the reminder of its former life drives the Juggernaut into a rage, and it begins animating one of the nearby statues to drop on you!
- The second fight against the Relentless Killer is very similar to the first, excepting that one of the two statues in the courtyard will float into the air and periodically slam down into the courtyard, dealing heavy Bludgeoning damage to anything underneath. (The statue has eight possible slam positions, and cycles through them in a loop - either clockwise or counterclockwise; this is determined randomly.) Once the Killer is down to 50% health, it freezes again, and a path opens to the West, leading into the staff bedrooms.
- In the staff bedrooms, you must fight your way through waves of hostile Animated Objects to find a key to the room of The Artist and The Brush - the last mortal remains of Johanna Moloch. Once you've destroyed these, you must destroy The Simulacrum, a wax statue of Johanna herself, trapped in the memories of her violent death. Johanna's diary allows you to flood Valthus's mind with another tumult of memories, triggering a third and final battle.
- You'll need to carefully dodge two floating statues - orbiting in opposing directions - for the remainder of your battle against Valthus Moloch, the Relentless Killer. At 25% health, the killer will also animate his Scythe, which whirls around the arena attacking anyone nearby - this actually makes the Relentless Killer rather less dangerous as he can no longer use his deadly whirl attack. (Don't bother attacking the Scythe, as it cannot be killed.) Once the twisted killing machine's health is finally depleted and you've sent poor Valthus to join his beloved wife, you can claim your hard-earned reward - leaving the severely depleted Ludendorf police force to sort out the mess caused by Valthus's instiable drive for revenge. At least the city of Ludendorf can breathe easier in the knowledge that Viktra Mordenheim's final act of supreme scientific irresponsibility has at last been put to rest.
- There are a total of nine recording devices in this raid, telling the story of Valthus's bereavement and a pact he struck with the Dark Powers at the Temple you visited in The Wish to become the Relentless Killer. Bear in mind that other than the first two, which can be reached via Dimension Door if initially missed, these recording devices are in rooms that you can't return to once you've left them, so make sure to grab them on the first go around. The locations are:
- Two in the first room, in the rooms either side of the top of the staircase
- One in the Helmed Horror room (reached by getting caught by Grip of the Killer)
- One in Wrathful Wax's room
- One in the little room West of Wrathful Wax
- One each in the central, Northwest and Northeast rooms of the staff quarters
- One in Johanna's room
