If you try to talk to her while at level 9 or lower, she will reply:

Racella Unary: The better question is what happened to the priest. Legend tells that he broke free from Vol's control, created a cult of his own, and is now attempting to achieve her dream. Yes, if the tales are to be believed the priest who saved Vol is the Black Abbot himself.

If you are at level 10 or higher, however, she will reply:

Racella Unary: Long ago, a brave adventurer did battle with the Lady Vol. Into this combat he wore a plain simple shield. He had nearly bested the Lady, when one of her priests struck down the hero from behind. Vol gave this priest the shield as a memento of the day he saved her.
You: What happened to the shield?
Racella Unary: The better question is what happened to the priest. Legend tells that he broke free from Vol's control, created a cult of his own, and is now attempting to achieve her dream. Yes, if the tales are to be believed the priest who saved Vol is the Black Abbot himself.
You: Interesting. But you didn't answer my question.
Racella Unary: Ha, hung up on the shield are you? The same legend tells us that the priest brought the shield with him, and in a show of defiance shattered it into eight pieces. I believe he spread those pieces across the Orchard, leaving them in the care of his trusted servants.
You: This is all very interesting, but you said the shield had no powers, why am I interested?
Racella Unary: The shield is one of tremendous historical importance. At least that's why I want it. As to why you want to get it for me? I have a nice collection of shields that are quite magical and powerful in nature. I'd be willing to trade any one of them for the pieces to re-assemble the shield of that long lost hero.
You: All right. I will find and bring you the pieces of the ancient shield. (Bestow quest)

Talking to her after acquiring the quest, but before putting all pieces in the Frame, will make she say:

Racella Unary: This is the frame, yes. But it is not filled yet. The shield cannot be finished without all of the pieces.

When you have all pieces in the frame, she will congratulate you with the following:

Racella Unary: Brilliant! You have the frame and all the pieces. Look, isn't it magnificent? To think, with something as plain as this shield, a mighty hero almost struck down the Lady Vol. It is truly a magnificent piece of history.

After completing the quest and taking the reward, if you talk to her again, she will reply:

Racella Unary: I know he brought it here with him, the pieces must be in there somewhere!
