Description: <Gatekeeper>

Notes: Mogar will provide teleportation to Gatekeepers' Grove, but only if you 1) you are level 10 or higher and 2) do not currently have the quest he gives, Grim and Barett. If he does not offer teleportation there, you must open your Quest Journal (default L), and "abandon" that quest - but first make sure you receive any reward you've earned if you've already run the quest.

The Harbor

If quest is available he will reply:

• Mogar Drim: Pests and vermin! Who knew that Stormreach was overrun with these blasted Devils? Worse than bedbugs, they are!
• Mogar Drim: You there! You look like you know how to handle pests. Devils have overrun our Hostel, and we need someone to sweep them away.
• Mogar Drim: They're after our Planar Awl, no doubt. For all the good it will do them!
• You: I'm a champion Devil exterminator. Where are they?
  • Mogar Drim: The Devils burst into the Gatekeepers' Hostel - and they may still be there. But I fear they have already made their way to our sacred Glade. I shudder to think what they'll do to it!
  • Mogar Drim: My fellow Gatekeepers - Barett, Grim, and the rest - will help you if they can. No Gatekeeper can abide a Devil!
  • You: I'll deal with the Devils. <Quest Bestowed>
• You: I have a couple of details I'd like to know about first. Like who you are, and what you're doing here.
  • Mogar Drim: Why, I'm a Gatekeeper! We protect Eberron from extraplanar threats, and have done since the days of the great Daelkyr invasion.
  • Mogar Drim: Khorvaire is our home, but lately more of us have been travelling here to Xen'drik. You've been stirring up all kinds of Planar trouble down here!
  • Mogar Drim: That's why we built the Gatekeepers' Hostel here. It's a place for our order to rest and recoup while we're in Stormreach.
  • You: And what's this Planar Awl the Devils are after?
    • Mogar Drim: An ancient relic of the Daelkry [sic] invasion. The Planar Awl can punch a hole through the planes like a nail through wood.
    • Mogar Drim: There's just one small catch. The planar holes made by the Awl close as soon as they're made! The device is useless unless you have some way to keep the holes it makes open. I don't know what the Devils expect to do with it!
    • You: Thanks for the information. Where did the Devils go?
      • Mogar Drim: The Devils burst into the Gatekeepers' Hostel - and they may still be there. But I fear they have already made their way to our sacred Glade. I shudder to think what they'll do to it!
      • Mogar Drim: My fellow Gatekeepers - Barrett, Grim, and the rest - will help you if they can. No Gatekeeper can abide a Devil!
      • You: I'll deal with the Devils. <Quest Bestowed>
• You: Can you teleport me to the Gatekeepers' Grove?
  • Mogar Drim: If you like. But don't mistake the Gatekeepers for a taxi service!
  • You: Much appreciated! <Teleported to Grove>

Talking to him after acquiring the quest, but before completion, will make him say:

• Mogar Drim: The Devils aren't out here! They're in the Gatekeepers' Hostel. Get right back in there and deal with them!

On completion of quest, he will congratulate you with the following:

• Mogar Drim: What a mess those Devils made! And what they did to the Glade.... well now, we'll recover. We always have!
• Mogar Drim: Thanks for taking care of them. Barett and the others asked me to give you this.

After completing the quest and taking the reward, if you talk to him again, he will reply:

• Mogar Drim: There are Devils swarming all over the Gatekeepers' Hostel. Looking for our Planar Awal, no doubt. Will you deal with these annoying pests?
  • You: Repeat the quest "Grim and Barett."
  • You: Can you teleport me to the Gatekeepers' Grove?
