Notes: There is one class trainer of every class residing in Korthos Village. Meldrik can also bestow quests in the Korthos tutorial quest series.
If you are a Druid or Artificer, Meldrik will not bestow any of the Korthos tutorial quests.

Korthos Village

If you have not talked to your Class Trainer, you are a Druid or Artificer, or if there is no quest available in the Korthos tutorial quest series:

• Meldrik the Elder: The gods smile upon me. Do you wish to see them smile upon you?
  • You: Spend action points on enhancements.
    • Meldrik the Elder: (if you have no Favored Soul levels) You ask a favored soul to train you when you have no knowledge of our ways? Find one of your own class to train you in your benefits, for I cannot.
    • Meldrik the Elder: (if you have at least one Favored Soul level) (open Enhancement Panel)
  • You: Advance to the next level as a favored soul.
    • Meldrik the Elder: (if you have no Favored Soul levels) Are you certain that you wish to multiclass into the favored soul class? If you are currently on a path, you will leave it by doing so.

Before asking Brother Malden to bind your spirit:

  • Meldrik the Elder: (If you fall in battle, you return to the last place you bound your spirit at.
  • Meldrik the Elder: Characters who can bind your spirit have the "Spirit Binder" title beneath their names. Every tavern has a Spirit Binder inside.
  • Meldrik the Elder: Find the Spirit Binder inside the Wavecrest Tavern and ask him to bind you.)
    • You: I can't find the Spirit Binder -- point him out for me. (bestows Tutorial: How to Bind your character quest)
      • Meldrik the Elder: (If you are inside the Wavecrest Tavern, the Spirit Binder now has a glowing yellow check-mark over his head.
      • Meldrik the Elder: If you are outside in Korthos Village, you must first enter the Wavecrest Tavern. It is marked by a Green Mug icon on your Map. (Press M to open.)
      • Meldrik the Elder: Once you find the Spirit Binder, Left-Click on him to start a dialogue, and ask him to bind your spirit.)
    • You: I'll go look for the Spirit Binder. (ends conversation)

After asking Brother Malden to bind your spirit but before completing Heyton's Rest:

  • Meldrik the Elder: (People who are looking for your help show up as a Yellow Chalice on your map. You can press the M key to open your map and look for it.
  • Meldrik the Elder: Once you're close to the person who needs help, you'll be able to see a Glowing Chalice Icon hovering over his or her head.
  • Meldrik the Elder: You can interact with these Questgivers to obtain a new quest.)
    • You: I can't find a Questgiver -- point one out for me. (bestows Tutorial: How to find a Quest quest)
      • Meldrik the Elder: (One of the Questgiver icons on your Map is now flashing. You can press the M key to open your map and look for it.
      • Meldrik the Elder: Make sure you're not inside the Wavecrest Tavern, and you can simply walk towards the Questgiver to reach it.
      • Meldrik the Elder: Once you are close to the Questgiver, you can Left-Click on it to start a dialogue.)

  • Meldrik the Elder: Vendors are marked with a golden curcular icon on your map (open with the M key on your keyboard.)
  • Meldrik the Elder: Find the General Vendor in Korthos Village and access his shop.)
    • You: I can't find the Vendor -- point him out for me. (bestows Tutorial: How to buy & sell items in your inventory quest)
      • Meldrik the Elder: (The Vendor's golden circular icon is now blinking on your map (open with the M key on your keyboard.)
      • Meldrik the Elder: Normally, Vendors simply show what type of store they have beneath the Vendor's name, but the Korthos Village General Vendor now has a glowing yellow check-mark added over his head, so that you can identify him more easily.
      • Meldrik the Elder: Once you find the General Vendor, Left-Click on him to start a dialogue and access his shop.)
    • You: I'll go look for the Vendor. (ends conversation)

After asking Brother Malden to bind your spirit, completing Heyton's Rest, completing The Storehouse's Secret, and viewing Dax Boon's inventory but before completing The Cannith Crystal:

  • Meldrik the Elder: Try finding a new quest inside the Wavecrest Tavern.)
    • You: I can't find the Wavecrest Tavern or the quest inside -- point it out for me. (bestows Tutorial: Quests inside Taverns quest)
      • Meldrik the Elder: (In order to help you find the Wavecrest Tavern's icon, we've made it blink on your map (press the M key on your keyboard to open.)
      • Meldrik the Elder: Look for the blinking Green Mug icon on your map. Walk to the Wavecrest Tavern and Left-click on its door to go in.
      • Meldrik the Elder: Once inside, look for Sigmund Bauerson standing at the bar. Left-click on him to interact, and obtain the new quest.)
