Marketplace[edit]
If you try to talk to him while at level 3 or lower, he will reply:
- Lyvetenant Thifspar: <race>, clear this area immediately!
- Lyvetenant Thifspar: We have a dangerous situation here. You should return to a safer area, such as the Harbor.
If you are at level 4 or higher, however, he will reply:
- Lyvetenant Thifspar: Khyber take the Devils! They opened portals right into our barracks!
- Lyvetenant Thifspar: We got everyone out, thank the Host. But we can't just let the Devils have this building. If they get a foothold, the rest of Stormreach is in danger.
- You: Is there anything I can do?
- Lyvetenant Thifspar: You can go in the Market Barracks and kick the Devils' teeth in, that's what you can do!
- Lyvetenant Thifspar: But I don't recommend it unless you're really strong, and you have friends watching your back.
- Lyvetenant Thifspar: It won't do anyone any good if you just get yourself killed.
- You: You have no idea of the power my companions and I possess. We'll take care of your Devil problem for you. (Bestow quest)
- Lyvetenant Thifspar: If you can really crush the Devils, it'll make them think twice before trying this again.
- You: Then I'll need to prepare and train some more before I can take on these Devils. (Walk away)
- Lyvetenant Thifspar: Don't worry about it. It's the Guard's job to protect the weak, not the other way around.
- You: You have no idea of the power my companions and I possess. We'll take care of your Devil problem for you. (Bestow quest)
- You: Well, why doesn't the Guard go in there and stop them?
- Lyvetenant Thifspar: Number one rule of fighting Devils: bring lots of friends.
- Lyvetenant Thifspar: We've sent word to all the guards garrisons in Stormreach, but I'm afraid the Devils will break through before reinforcements arrive.
- You: Is there anything I can do? (see above)
- You: Is there anything I can do?
Talking to him after acquiring the quest, but before completion, will make him say:
- Lyvetenant Thifspar: Hurry, stop the Devil assault on the Marketplace Barracks before they get out and threaten the rest of Stormreach!
On completion of quest, he will congratulate you with the following:
- Lyvetenant Thifspar: We could hear the Devils howling and their horns cracking all the way from out here.
- Lyvetenant Thifspar: You must really have smacked them around. I just wish I could have been there to see them flee with their tails between their legs.
- Lyvetenant Thifspar: Stormreach owes you its gratitude.
After completing the quest and take the reward, if you talk to him again, he will reply:
- Lyvetenant Thifspar: The Coin Lords are still deciding whether to move us to a new barracks, or repair this one.
- Lyvetenant Thifspar: But in any case, thank you for crushing the Devil assault, <name>. They won't try opening portals directly into our barracks again.
