Someone in-game stated they were receiving a 100% boost to doubloons/maps if they used grog while in Smuggler's Rest. Can someone dis/prove this? 99.123.141.31 04:02, March 22, 2011 (EDT)
- It's just a fable, you can receive more then 1 drop from a creature there.

- Sure it can, I know I got a lot more drops on grog than without it - virtually every kill, I was getting *something*, and usually I'd get two or three drops. It won't help with the random party spread when somebody else kills 'em, but when *you* kill 'em, you're guaranteed to get something, even if somebody else in the party gets the "regular" drop. Even with the highest level of Scalawag's Luck, I'd frequently get nothing at all without the grog while solo. Although it still works best running through KA or Butcher's or something for an hour. -LrdSlvrhnd 16:40, March 22, 2011 (EDT)
- One Pirate's Grog and KA runs until it expired netted me 1319 Copper, 1040 Silver, and 500 Gold doubloons. Also an unknown number (estimated at ~100) of map pieces since those went into the red bag and I'd already had some before the runs. Note that the Grog timer does not pause when you are in a public area. Probably because Smuggler's Rest is itself a public area. -Niminae (Contribs • Message • Email) 21:40, August 10, 2017 (EDT)
- I did a second Grog run where I exited KA with about 60 Kobolds remaining, as that seems to be the point where only the leftmost spawn point still spawns and it takes a long time to clear that final ~60. I also noted my map piece count prior to beginning the exercise. Results: 2412 Copper, 1575 Silver, 653 Gold, and 553 map pieces. -Niminae (Contribs • Message • Email) 21:56, August 11, 2017 (EDT)
