I've posted some hints for getting muckbane here:

More on Muck and farming for Muckbane[edit]

December 19, 2010

To increase the odds of Muck spawning, make sure to open the valve in each of the kobold's room, as each valve has a chance to spawn Muck. If you only open one, you have half the chance of Muck spawning.

I have done this quest almost 20 times now and have only seen Muck twice, and still no glass club. Here's hoping you have better luck!

The only other advice I have for Muckbane farmers is to use a two-handed wooden club or quarterstaff. Wooden items don't seem to get damaged as often as metal, are cheaper, and by going two-handed you also save your shield (if any) from getting worn.

Glass or unknown[edit]

There's a contradiction in the article: it says one place the material is glass, in another that it's unknown? 76.126.217.195 16:33, October 3, 2010 (EDT)

you referring to description field?; A club made out of some unknown but highly polished black substance. - this is just a copy/paste of in-game flavor text. um, yea i guess its a contradiction... --yoko5000 22:00, October 3, 2010 (EDT)

Crafting[edit]

August 2nd 2011

Found a muckbane day before yesterday that says its used in crafting. Has anyone else seen this and what its used in?

Muckbane

It means that it can be stripped of all enchantments and made into a regular club made of Glass, then modified via Cannith Crafting Yawgmoth 15:48, August 2, 2011 (EDT)

Tried everything in the crafting hall with it, still wont accept named items. Is this something thats upcoming? I can't find any info for this.

It's a remnant of the clusterfuck that was to be U10.1[edit]

Originally on lamannia, for U10.1.. They set up all sort of recipes, especially banes to use named loot. The muckbane was one such item, I believe it was used for the ooze bane recipe. Since this was a really dumbass idea, Madfloyd being the awesome dev he is Veto'd the whole thing and shut it down. So all named items used in recipes were removed. But like all things DDO - the update was a bit messy, and they failed to remove references to this mess in item descriptions, such as the one on the muckbane.

So long story short: It's a bug, it probably won't get fixed. It's not invovled in crafting. PS: Archanel please sign you talk posts with four tiles (like this: ~~~~) --Shade 17:53, August 2, 2011 (EDT)
