Tips and Misc

• This quest, despite the dauntingly large map, is pretty linear. Speak to Thresher at the start, head across the river and curve up to the second layer of the hill, then jump up onto the roots of the giant tree and heap up in an anticlockwise direction.
• Five sets of two farmers are spread across the map. Three are in or by farmhouses, one group is surrounded by Wolf Pups and one group is being menaced by a Displacer Beast Cub. (Defeating the Pups or Cub, while not required to free the farmers, also grants optional XP.)
• An optional path just after the second Wood Woad leads to a Queen Fire Beetle, and then a pack of Lycanthropes. The Lycanthropes are actually harmless, and a successful Charisma based skill check convinces them to let you use their Rest and Resurrection Shrines.
  • A Shifter character, as a fellow Lycanthrope, may automatically succeed on this check - this needs verification.needs verification
• A small group of Hidden Hand cultists on the eastern side of the north bank of the river are guarding a small lockbox.
• For this quest, the Traveler has decided to disguise himself as a cow. A cow wearing a green hat, that is.
