Frightened

From DDO wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

A Frightened creature flees from the source of its fear as best it can. A frightened creature takes a -2 penalty on all attack rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks. A frightened creature can use special abilities to flee; indeed, the creature must use such means if they are the only way to escape.

In DDO, monsters or summoned creatures affected by fear will retreat a certain away from the cause of their fear and then stop moving. Players, hirelings and pets retain control of their movement but cannot attack, use items, or interact with terrain features such as doors or valves.

Frightened is like shaken, except that it is a more extreme form of fear, and the creature must flee if possible.
